Kuldeep Manak, also known as Kuldip Manak, was an Indian singer best known for singing a rare genre of Punjabi music, kali, also known by its plural form kalian or kaliyan. Manak is generally regarded as one of the greatest Punjabi artists of all time. His high pitched strong voice was unique, and instantly recognisable. A statue of Manak has been erected in Ludhiana near his residence as a tribute.

Pul Kanjri is a historical site situated 35 km away from Amritsar on Amritsar-Lahore road, near the villages of Dhanoa Khurd and Dhanoa Kalan on the Wagah border. People used to cross the canal by foot but Begum Gul Bahar refused to do so. Since Maharaja Ranjit Singh was deeply in love with Begum Gul Bahar, he had a small bridge built for her. Some part of the bridge still exists. It was named Pul Kanjri. It was greatly in news during 1971 war. This fortress also contains a bathing pool, a temple, a Gurudwara and a mosque.
The Lion of Punjab is an Indian Punjabi action film starring Diljit Dosanjh, making his debut as an actor. It is also the debut Punjabi movie of Bollywood director Guddu Dhanoa. A huge set of a temple, a church, some houses and a shopping area, was erected at the Indian Express Office premises. It is a remake of 2003 Tamil movie Dhool.

Mirza: The Untold Story is a 2012 Indian Punjabi-language action romance film written and directed by Baljit Singh Deo. It stars Gippy Grewal and Mandy Takhar in the lead roles, with music rapper Honey Singh in his first commercial venture, as a dunce gangster. Produced by Inda Raikoti and Aman Khatkar, the movie had a historic opening across Punjab. The movie was released on 6 April 2012.
Shareek is a 2015 Punjabi musical drama film directed by Navaniat Singh, starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Guggu Gill, Simar Gill, Oshin Sai, Mukul Dev, Kuljinder Sidhu, Prince KJ, Hobby Dhaliwal, Gulchoo Jolly. It is produced under the banner of Ohri Productions and Green Planet Production. It was first released on 22 October 2015. Mukul Dev was awarded the PTC Punjabi film awards for best actor in a negative role for his performance in the movie.
Angrej (transl. Englishman) is a 2015 Indian Punjabi-language historical romance film directed by Simerjit Singh. Set against the backdrop of the waning British Raj, the film chronicles the love story of a young man and a woman, played by Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta respectively, belonging to different social strata. Angrej has Aditi Sharma, Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Anita Devgan, Sardar Sohi, and Nirmal Rishi in supporting roles; it marked the feature film debut for Mehta and Virk.

Sidhu is generally regarded to have been one of the greatest Punjabi artists of his generation. Moreover, he was considered as a key figure in opening the door for Punjabi artists into mainstream music. In 2021, he joined Indian National Congress political party, and unsuccessfully contested the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election from Mansa.
Rhythm Boyz Entertainment INC, or simply known as Rhythm Boyz is a Punjabi film production and distribution company founded by Karaj Gill and Amrinder Gill in 2013. The company was named after their college time Bhangra group. Rhythm Boyz began to produce films in 2014 with Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo. Since 2014, Rhythm Boyz has produced total 14 films till date, out of which 10 are in List of highest-grossing Punjabi films including Angrej, Love Punjab, Bambukat, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, Lahoriye, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua, Ashke and Chal Mera Putt. At Filmfare Awards Punjabi all the top three award-winning films are produced by Rhythm Boyz Entertainment. As of 2022, 14 film produced by the company have won 56 awards at different ceremonies, including Filmfare Awards Punjabi and PTC Punjabi Film Awards.
Kuljinder Singh Sidhu is an Indian actor, writer and film producer, who has appeared in Punjabi films. Kuljinder made his debut as an actor and writer with the movie Sadda Haq, which he also produced. Apart from this, he has produced and written the story and screenplay of the 2014 Punjabi film Yoddha: The Warrior, in which he played lead role antagonist Rahul Dev. He has received Ptc Best Actor Award by Critics and Ptc Best Screenplay Writer Award by Critics, for the film Sadda Haq.
