Ramta Jogi is a 2015 Indian Punjabi-language romance film [1] directed by Guddu Dhanoa [2] and produced by Vijay Singh Dhanoa under banner Vijayta Films and I`MPossible Films. It stars Deep Sidhu, Ronica Singh, Rahul Dev, Girish Sahdev, Zafar Dhilon and Anil Grover. The movie is a remake of 2004 Tamil movie Kaadhal .

Synopsis

An intense love story placed in the land of Punjab. [3] The main protagonist named Jogi (Ramta Jogi), comes from a humble background and the girl, Meet belongs to a well off family. Unlike the traditional way, here in the film the girl falls in love with Jogi and approaches him. After the love story starts in terms of family getting involved in it and oppose their love. Both the youngsters deeply in love take the charge to be with each other and their journey starts from Punjab and how it unfolds in Mumbai showing their struggle and the challenges faced in the city like Mumbai. While all this is happening their families takes them back to Punjab. Based on the unwanted circumstances created by their families, the climax unfolds which is unusual in terms of emotion and has never been witnessed in the Punjabi cinema before.

Pul Kanjri is a historical site situated 35 km away from Amritsar on Amritsar-Lahore road, near the villages of Dhanoa Khurd and Dhanoa Kalan on the Wagah border. It is one of the heritage sites built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, where he used to rest while travelling with his troops. During his reign, Pul Kanjari was an important trading centre. The legend has it when Maharaja Ranjit Singh married Begum Gul Bahar, on their way to Lahore they had to cross this canal on Ravi river. People used to cross the canal by foot but Begum Gul Bahar refused to do so. Since Maharaja Ranjit Singh was deeply in love with Begum Gul Bahar, he had a small bridge built for her. Some part of the bridge still exists. It was named Pul Kanjri. It was greatly in news during 1971 war. This fortress also contains a bathing pool, a temple, a Gurudwara and a mosque.

Rhythm Boyz Entertainment Canadian film production and distribution company

Rhythm Boyz Entertainment INC, or simply known as Rhythm Boyz is a Punjabi film production and distribution company founded by Karaj Gill and Amrinder Gill in 2013. The company was named after their college time Bhangra group. Rhythm Boyz began to produce films in 2014 with Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo. Since 2014, Rhythm Boyz has produced total 14 films till date, out of which 10 are in List of highest-grossing Punjabi films including Angrej, Love Punjab, Bambukat, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, Lahoriye, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua, Ashke and Chal Mera Putt. At Filmfare Awards Punjabi all the top three award-winning films are produced by Rhythm Boyz Entertainment. As of 2022, 14 film produced by the company have won 56 awards at different ceremonies, including Filmfare Awards Punjabi and PTC Punjabi Film Awards.

Kuljinder Singh Sidhu is an Indian actor, writer and film producer, who has appeared in Punjabi films. Kuljinder made his debut as an actor and writer with the movie Sadda Haq, which he also produced. Apart from this, he has produced and written the story and screenplay of the 2014 Punjabi film Yoddha: The Warrior, in which he played lead role antagonist Rahul Dev. He has received Ptc Best Actor Award by Critics and Ptc Best Screenplay Writer Award by Critics, for the film Sadda Haq.
