Robert Rodriguez is an American politician from the state of Colorado. A Democrat,Rodriguez was elected to the 32nd district of the Colorado Senate in 2018 after winning a majority of the vote. [1] He currently serves as a member of the Senate Committee on Legal Service,Judiciary Committee,Legislative Audit Committee,and is Chair of the Business,Labor,and Technology Committee. [2] On September 8,2023,Rodriguez's colleagues elected him senate majority leader following Dominick Moreno's resignation from the senate. [3]
The Minnesota Senate is the upper house of the Legislature of the U.S. state of Minnesota. At 67 members,half as many as the Minnesota House of Representatives,it is the largest upper house of any U.S. state legislature. Floor sessions are held in the west wing of the State Capitol in Saint Paul. Morgan Lenore Carroll is an American politician from Colorado and was the Chairwoman of the Colorado Democratic Party. A Democrat,Carroll represented Colorado House District 36 in the city of Aurora from 2004 to 2008,and she represented the state's 29th Senate district from 2009 to 2017. Carroll served as President of the Colorado State Senate from 2013 to 2014 and as minority leader in 2015. Carroll stepped down as minority leader in July 2015 to unsuccessfully run against incumbent Republican Mike Coffman for Colorado's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. In addition to her legislative work,Carroll works for the law firm of Bachus &Schanker.
Gail Sheridan Schwartz is a former legislator in the U.S. state of Colorado. Elected to the Colorado State Senate as a Democrat in 2006,Schwartz represented Senate District 5,which covers a large section of south-central Colorado,ranging from Aspen,and Delta,Colorado through the San Luis Valley to the New Mexico border. Schwartz left office in 2015 after serving two terms and unsuccessfully ran for the United States House of Representatives in Colorado's 3rd congressional district.
Stratton Rollins Heath Jr. is an American politician and former state legislator in the U.S. state of Colorado who previously served as the Colorado State Senate Assistant Minority Leader. Elected to the Colorado State Senate as a Democrat in 2008,Heath represented Senate District 18,which encompasses Boulder,Colorado and portions of Boulder County. Heath served as State Senate Majority Caucus Leader from October 2013 to 2014. Prior to winning elective office,Heath was the founding chairman of ProgressNow,a progressive advocacy organization. Term limited,he did not run for re-election in the 2016 elections,so his term ended in January 2017. Heath is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder.
Bertram Robert Stivers II,is a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate representing the 25th Senate District since 1997. He served as the Republican Majority Leader of the Kentucky State Senate through 2012 and became the President of the Kentucky Senate on the opening day of the 2013 legislative session on January 8.
