S. Jithesh, popularly known as Dr. Jitheshji, [1] is a speed cartoonist and former Vice-Chairman of Kerala Cartoon Academy. Jitheshji is considered as the father of Speed Cartooning since he has initiated and popularised 'Speed Cartooning' and 'Super-Speedy Cartooning' through his infotainment cartoon stage shows named Varayarangu. [2] His infotainment art form, Varayarangu, is a blend of poetry, anecdotes, and socio-political satire with high speed drawing. Sketching of more than thousand celebrity caricatures at a quick pace and satirical commentary is the major attraction of his cartoon stage shows. [3] He is recognised as the "World's Fastest Performing Cartoonist" since his ability to speed sketch fifty celebrity caricatures within five minutes. [4] [5] [6] [7] Jitheshji is the first Keralite who received more than 20 million plus views on Instagram for his unique art performance.

His name has been asked frequently in Public Service Examination Questionaiire. He has travelled more than 20 nations to perform his infotainment Speed Cartoon Performance and Pictorial Oration. He has conducted more than 10000 speed cartoon stage shows across India and abroad. [8] As a Performing Cartoonist he is known for his lightning sketches and pictorial speech on stage. [4] He was the editor-in-chief of Chiricheppu Cartoon monthly. Jithesh's interests are not limited to cartooning alone since he has also published his own collections of poems in Malayalam and English. [8] [9] [10]

Personal life

He was born on 30 December 1974 at Pandalam in Pathanamthitta District as the son of K. N. Somasekharan Nair and M. Remani Amma. [11] He graduated with a LL.B degree and an M.A in English Literature and a D. Litt: ( US) . He is married to Unnimaya and father of two children. [12]

Kesava Shankar Pillai, better known as Shankar, was an Indian cartoonist. He is considered the father of political cartooning in India. He founded Shankar's Weekly, India's Punch in 1948. Shankar's Weekly also produced cartoonists like Abu Abraham, Ranga and Kutty, he closed down the magazine during the Emergency of 25 June 1975. From then on he turned to making children laugh and enjoy life.

Varayarangu, is an experimental Infotainment art genre from Kerala, which explores the performing level possibilities of Fine Art as a Stage Art. This 'Cartoon Stage Show' is a blend of poetry, anecdotes and socio-political satire with high speed drawing. World's Fastest Performing Cartoonist Jitheshji has initiated and developed this art genre. The mode of presentation of this one-hour 'Cartoon Stage Show' is very captivating and enchanting by means of interlacing interesting anecdotes, light talk and social satire while drawing hundreds of celebrity caricatures on stage with a lightning pace and satirical commentary in order to create a new sensibility. Now, this art genre is onto 2000 stages since its launching on June 22, 2008, at Artist V. S. Valliathan's second death Anniversary Commemorative Meeting conducted at Pandalam in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala State.

Indu Menon is an acclaimed Indian novelist and short story writer. She was awarded the Central Sahitya Award for Young Writers in 2014, and was recognized by India Today as one of India's Upcoming Writers in 2015. P. Venu, was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, and lyricist with over 20 films to his name.His directorial venture Udhyogastha in 1967 was the first-ever multi-star cast film of south India. His work in Malayalam cinema was significant and most influential, covering all themes and genres over a career spanning more than 40 years. His most recognized film C.I.D. Nazir, in 1971, revolutionized movie-making in the investigative genre in Malayalam cinema. Following this film's commercial and critical success, he came up with two more in the series - Taxi Car in 1972 and Prethangalude Thazhvara in 1973, as the first investigative sequels in Malayalam cinema. His last film, Parinamam released in 2003, won an honour for the Malayalam cinema on the global stage by winning the Best Screenplay Award at the Ashdod International Film Festival in Israel. In 2005, he was bestowed the Kala Prathiba by the Kerala Film Critics Association for his contribution to the Malayalam cinema. He was also an active member of MACTA. Dileesh Philip, also known as Dileesh Pothan is an Indian film director, actor and producer, who works in Malayalam cinema. He made his directorial debut with the 2016 comedy drama film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, starring Fahadh Faasil. The film received the Best Feature Film in Malayalam Award at the 64th National Film Awards. Pothan also won the Best Director Award at the 64th Filmfare Awards South.

<i>Veera</i> (2018 film) 2018 film by Rajaraman

Veera is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Rajaraman and produced by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment. The film stars Kreshna and Iswarya Menon in the leading roles, with Karunakaran, Rajendran and Yogi Babu in supporting roles. Leon James composed the original score and soundtrack for the film, while Bakkiyam Shankar wrote the film's script. Having begun production in August 2015, the film had gone through a change of cast before being released on 16 February 2018.
