Ligonier is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,573 at the 2010 census. Ligonier was settled in the 1760s. The borough is well known for nearby Idlewild Park, one of the oldest amusement parks in the country; and nearby Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Another tourist attraction is Fort Ligonier Days, a parade and craft market that takes place every fall over the course of three days, and the Ligonier Country Market in the summer months. Ligonier is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Gruene is a German town in Comal County in the U.S. state of Texas. Once a significant cotton-producing community along the Guadalupe River, the town has now shifted its economy to one supported primarily by tourism. Gruene, a German surname, is now a district within the city limits of New Braunfels, and much of it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 21, 1975. The city is known for its German-Texan heritage and architecture.
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is located in the former Chipley City Hall building, which has also been used as Washington County Public Library. It is a historic site in Chipley, Florida at 672 Fifth Street. It is on the same block as the historic Woman's Club of Chipley. On March 30, 2005, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Lake Mary Chamber of Commerce Building is a historic site in Lake Mary, Florida, United States. It is located at 158 North Country Club Road. On February 11, 2004, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1926 by Frank Evans as a community center and offices for the Lake Mary of Chamber of Commerce. The building was later used as the City Hall when the city was incorporated in 1973 until 1990 when the current City Hall was completed.
The Homestead Town Hall, also known as the Redlands District Chamber of Commerce, is the original town hall for the Town of Homestead, built in 1917 Homestead, Florida. It is located at 41 North Krome Avenue. On November 7, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The France Hotel is a historic hotel located at 118 E. Court St. in Paris, Illinois. The Classical Revival building was constructed in 1924. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Chamber of Commerce Building is a commercial building on 65 Liberty Street, between Liberty Place and Broadway, in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City. Designed by architect James Barnes Baker, the four-story Beaux-Arts building was constructed between 1901 and 1902 as the first headquarters to be built specifically for the Chamber of Commerce of the State of New York.
Demopolis Town Square, currently officially known as Confederate Park, is a historic park in the city of Demopolis, Alabama, United States. It is one of the oldest public squares in the state. Demopolis had its beginnings in 1817 with the Vine and Olive Colony, and the park was established in 1819. The park covers one city block, bounded by Main, Capitol, Walnut, and Washington Streets.
The Apex Union Depot is a historic railroad station located on Salem Street in downtown Apex, North Carolina and is the centerpiece of the Apex Historic District. Constructed in 1914 by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, the building shared service with the Durham and Southern Railway, but now houses the Apex Visitor's Center, Apex Chamber of Commerce, and meeting rooms rented out for special events. A 37-foot Louisville and Nashville Railroad caboose is located beside the building. In December 1998 the Apex Union Depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Lawrence Academy is a historic former school building at 20 Academy Lane in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Built in 1834, it is one of Falmouth's finest Greek Revival buildings. At first operated as a private academy, it served as Falmouth's high school from 1891 to 1895, and then as civic hall for a variety of veterans organizations. The building currently houses the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
The Old Masonic Hall in Louisville, Mississippi, also known as Community House, and as Chamber of Commerce, is a historic building built in 1851. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 and was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 2007. It is a notable example of Greek Revival style architecture.
The Travelers Hotel, in East Liverpool, Ohio, was built in 1907 and had 105 rooms. Located at 117 East Fourth Street, on the banks of the Ohio River, it is one of the few remaining river town hotels that faces the river. The original name of the hotel is the Landora.
The Weyerhaeuser Office Building is a building located in Everett, Washington listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1923. Weyerhaeuser, at the time the largest employer in Everett, commissioned architect Carl Gould to design a 6,000-square-foot building that would showcase local wood varieties such as fir, cedar, and hemlock. The building houses a two-story, concrete-and-steel, 160 ton vault that was originally used to store the company payroll. The Gothic-style structure was erected at the company's first Everett plant, known as Mill A.
The Old Stone Congregational Church, also known as the First Congregational Church of Lyons, is a historic church in Lyons, Colorado, built in 1894-5 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Main Street Methodist Church, also known as the Main Street United Methodist Church, is a historic Methodist church located at Danville, Virginia. It was built between 1865 and 1873, and is a scored stucco over brick, Romanesque Revival style porch. It features an elaborate 87 feet (27 m) tall, corner bell tower that dates from an 1890-1891 church enlargement and remodeling. A complementary flanking educational building was added in 1923. It is known locally as the "Mother Church of Methodism in Danville."
Sumner High School and Sumner Auditorium, now the Sumner Town Hall is a historic high school building and auditorium in Sumner, Georgia, Worth County, Georgia. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 27, 1996. The buildings are located at 716 Walnut Street. The auditorium is used as Sumner's Town Hall. The old school building is used by Worth County.
Floral Hall is a historic building located at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Harlan, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The cross-shaped, frame structure is the oldest building on the fairgrounds, and one of the oldest, relatively unaltered, county fair exhibition buildings in Iowa. It is composed of four identical 18-by-18-foot sections organized around a 18-foot (5.5 m)-square central section, which is capped with a square cupola. Both the building and the cupola are capped with a gable roof. The exhibition hall was built by the Shelby County Agricultural Society, who organized the agricultural fair in 1869. They bought the present fairgrounds in 1879, and this building was built sometime between that year and 1882 to house exhibits that were of interest to women. Over the years it has housed a variety of exhibits. The Shelby County Fair Association took over the fair in 1891
Porter Pool Bathhouse is a historic bathhouse located at Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana. It was built in 1930, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular, Art Deco style brick building.
The Union County Jail, also known as Old Union County Jail, in Blairsville, Georgia was built in 1934, a block away from Union County's historic courthouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
