Stephen Rodger Waugh is an Australian former international cricketer and twin brother of cricketer Mark Waugh. A right-handed batsman and a medium-pace bowler,Waugh is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Waugh was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. As Australian captain from 1997 to 2004,he led Australia to fifteen of their record sixteen consecutive Test wins,and to victory in the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Waugh is considered the most successful Test captain in history with 41 victories and a winning ratio of 72%.
Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers,AO,OCC,also known as Sir Gary or Sir Garry Sobers,is a former Barbadian cricketer who played for the West Indies between 1954 and 1974. A highly skilled bowler,an aggressive batsman and an excellent fielder,he is widely considered to be cricket's greatest ever all-rounder and one of the greatest cricketers of all time.
Sir Clive Hubert Lloyd,CM is a Guyanese-British former cricketer and captain of the West Indies cricket team. Lloyd is widely regarded as one of the greatest captains of all time. As a boy he went to Chatham High School in Georgetown. At the age of 14 he was captain of his school cricket team in the Chin Cup inter-school competition. One of his childhood memories is of sitting in a tree outside the ground overlooking the sightscreen watching Garry Sobers score two centuries for West Indies v Pakistan. Lloyd captained the West Indies in three World Cups,winning in 1975 and 1979 while losing the 1983 final to India.
Tino la Bertram Best is a former West Indian cricketer. Since 2002,he has played domestic cricket for his native Barbados,with a season at English club Yorkshire in 2010. Best made his Test debut in May 2003 and played his first One Day International a year later. A back strain incurred in May 2004 prevented Best from playing cricket until March the following year. In 2008 Best signed to play in the Indian Cricket League because he had not played international cricket since 2006. He returned to the side when the West Indies fielded a side weakened by contract disputes between leading players and the West Indies Cricket Board but was dropped shortly after.
Shivnarine "Shiv" Chanderpaul CCH is a Guyanese cricket coach and former captain of the West Indies cricket team. Considered one of the greatest batsmen of his era,Chanderpaul is the 10th highest run scorer of all time in International cricket and the 8th highest in Test cricket. Chanderpaul was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy,and in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy Final,he had the highest contribution for West Indies with the bat,scoring 47 runs.
Desmond Leo Haynes is a former Barbadian cricketer and cricket coach who played for the West Indies cricket team between 1978 and 1994. He was a member of the squads which won the 1979 Cricket World Cup as well as finishing as runners-up at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

Seymour MacDonald Nurse was a Barbadian cricketer. Nurse played 29 Test matches for the West Indies between 1960 and 1969. A powerfully built right-hand batsman and an aggressive,if somewhat impetuous,shotmaker,Nurse preferred to bat in the middle order but was often asked to open the batting. A relative latecomer to high-level cricket,Nurse's Test cricket career came to what many consider a premature end in 1969.

Bradshaw eventually picked up 78 wickets for the Windies at an average of 29.47 from 62 ODIs.
Darren Michael Bravo is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies. A left-handed batsman,his batting style has drawn comparisons with Brian Lara. Bravo is the younger half brother of fellow West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and his mother is the first cousin of former cricketer Brian Lara. Bravo was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.
Kraigg Clairmonte Brathwaite is a Barbadian cricketer who captains the West Indies in Test cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and occasionally bowls off breaks. On 6 November 2011,he became only the second West Indian to score two Test fifties before his 19th birthday when he made 63 (212) against India in Delhi. He has also effectively stood as stand-in-captain in place of Jason Holder in seven test matches before becoming the permanent captain of the test team taking over from Holder. He idolises Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his batting style.
The Australian cricket team toured the Caribbean from February to April 1999 to play four Tests and seven One Day Internationals (ODIs) against the West Indies. Australia additionally played three first-class matches,winning two and drawing one. The Test series was drawn 2–2 resulting in the Frank Worrell Trophy remaining in Australia. The ODI series was also drawn with three wins each and one tie. This was the first four-match series in the history of Test cricket to finish as a two-all draw. The only other four-match Test series,as of January 2022,to finish with the same result was England at home to Pakistan in 2016.
Tagenarine Brandon Chanderpaul is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for Guyana in first-class cricket. He is a left-hand opening batsman. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in November 2022. He is the eldest son of West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He played the role of cricketer Larry Gomes in the Bollywood film 83.
The West Indies cricket team toured New Zealand between December 1999 and January 2000,playing two Test matches and five One Day International (ODI) games.
