Square 54 Redevelopment is a complex of high-rise buildings located on the main campus of The George Washington University (GW) in Washington, D.C., United States. The new GW complex is mixed-use, with residential and office buildings and ground-level retail space along Eye Street to serve the campus and neighborhood. The complex will be completed with three buildings, Square 54 Residential I, Square 54 Residential II, and Square 54 Office. Square 54 Residential I is expected to rise 157 feet (48 m), featuring 14 floors. [1] [2] Square 54 Residential II is expected to rise 144 feet (44 m), featuring 12 floors. [3] [4] Finally, Square 54 Office, is expected to rise 148 feet (45 m), featuring 11 floors. [5] [6] Construction of every building will be completed in 2011. Each building will be designed by the architect, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and Hickok Cole Architects. The complex will replace the former George Washington University Hospital building, which was razed to make way for the construction of the Square 54 Complex. [7]

200 Vesey Street, formerly known as Three World Financial Center and also known as American Express Tower, is a skyscraper in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The 77-story office tower, called East Office Tower (東オフィス棟), is set to rise 338 metres (1,109 ft) and become Japan's tallest building, taking the title away from the Abeno Harukas in Osaka. The office tower would also become Japan's first supertall skyscraper over 300 metres (984 ft). Two identical 66-floor residential towers, called North Residential Tower (北住宅棟) and South Residential Tower (南住宅棟) will rise 505 metres (1,657 ft). The third and shortest residential building, West Residential Tower (西住宅棟), will rise 390 metres (1,280 ft) and contain 50 residential floors. The entire complex was slated for completion in 2010, but as of 2010, plans for the complex are still on hold for unannounced reasons.

The building has been renovated and now serves as the offices for Havas and Arnold Worldwide. The building is maintained as part of the Millennium Tower. It is now home to fast fashion retailer, Primark.

The building rises to 160 feet (49 m), featuring 12 floors and 10 elevators to serve those 12 floors. The construction of this building replaced the Cafritz Building, which also used the same address as this building. The original architect of the building was Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (Washington), who designed the postmodern concept of the building. Gensler repositioned the design and ultimately completed the documentation, permitting and construction administration of the building. The material of the postmodern design includes steel and glass. The building serves as an office use building and as a parking garage. The building is operated by Brookfield Properties. The building was originally operated and developed by Union Labor Life Insurance Company, though in late 2003, Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill (Washington) bought the operations to the building for $157 million.

With its completion, the building rose to 154 feet (47 m), and featured 12 floors with 59,652 m² in total floor area. The architect of the building was Skidmore, Owings & Merrill who designed the postmodern architectural style of the building. The high-rise serves as an office building.

The Investment Building

The Investment Building is a high-rise office building in Washington, D.C. The building rises 13 floors and 154 feet (47 m) in height. The interior renovation and redesign of the building was by architect César Pelli; Pelli also designed the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The renovation was completed in 2001. As of July 2008, the structure stands as the 32nd-tallest building in the city, tied in rank with 1310 G Street, 1430 K Street, 1875 K Street, the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center, the Executive Tower, 1701 Pennsylvania Avenue the Capital Hilton and The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center. The building is composed entirely of commercial office space.
