The Unholy Alliance Tour is a biennial heavy metal concert tour of Europe and North America, with the tag-line "Preaching to the Perverted". The tour is headlined by the thrash metal band Slayer, and featured Trivium, Amon Amarth and Mastodon in its latest edition.

North America 2006

The 2006 North American edition of the tour, called "Chapter I", featured the following bands: Slayer as headliners, Lamb of God as "direct support" band, Children of Bodom and Mastodon in rotating slots, Thine Eyes Bleed as opening act. The Vancouver show was filmed for a forthcoming DVD, with camera angles from above the bands and in among the audience. [4] The DVD was released on October 30, 2007. [5]

Europe 2006

2006 European edition, called "Chapter II", featured the following bands: Slayer as headliners, In Flames as "direct support" band, Children of Bodom and Lamb of God in rotating slots, Thine Eyes Bleed as opening act. The lineup was identical to the American leg except for Mastodon, who were replaced by In Flames. The French group Gojira was the second band to perform in Paris on November 7, 2006.

Combining elements of hardcore and heavy metal, the band is often described as a metalcore, hardcore punk, and beatdown hardcore band. They have played a major role in the Connecticut hardcore scene.

Mastodon has released eight studio albums, as well as a number of other releases. The band's 2002 debut album, Remission, garnered significant critical acclaim for its unique sound. Metal: A Headbanger's Journey is a 2005 documentary film directed by Sam Dunn with Scot McFadyen and Jessica Wise. The film follows 31-year-old Dunn, a Canadian anthropologist, who has been a heavy metal fan since the age of 12. Dunn sets out across the world to uncover the various opinions on heavy metal music, including its origins, culture, controversy, and the reasons it is loved by so many people. The film made its debut at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival, and was released as a two-disc special edition DVD in the US on 19 September 2006.

<i>Walk with Me in Hell</i> 2008 video by Lamb of God

Walk with Me in Hell is a 2008 live DVD by American metal band Lamb of God. On May 1, 2008, Lamb of God stated via Myspace that their new live DVD, Walk with Me in Hell, would be released on July 1, 2008. The DVD is two discs long and has nearly five hours of footage. It contains the feature documentary Walk with Me in Hell and multiple live performance extras from across the globe on the Sacrament World Tour as well as the additional full-length feature “Making of Sacrament” plus Lamb of God's entire performance at the Download Festival 2007, where they performed in front of over 72,000 fans. Extras include deleted scenes, live performance videos for various tour stops, the official music video for “Redneck,” and a “Making of ‘Redneck’” documentary.

Over the years, a variety of bands have made up the yearly lineups of Ozzfest, a yearly heavy metal music festival that usually tours the United States in summer.

Thrown into Exile is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles. They got their first break in 2012 when they were able to win the "Road to Mayhem" competition to secure a slot performing on the same bill as bands Slipknot, Motörhead, Anthrax, and Slayer. The band has so far released one EP and toured on the Mayhem Festival 2013 in support of it. The band has opened for a number of notable bands including Sepultura, Fear Factory, Chimaira, All Shall Perish, Testament, Morbid Angel, and more.
