Toxice is the first drag queen band submitting the Romanian national preselection at Eurovision Song Contest 2006. The band is composed of: Divina Duvall (ex Luciana Duvall), Alehandra del Barrio, Fernanda and Bella Blue. The slogan of Toxice is that "Drag queen is an art and has nothing to do with sexual orientation".

A drag queen is a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes. Historically, drag queens have usually been gay men, and have been a part of gay culture.
RuPaul Andre Charles is an American drag queen, television personality, actor, musician, and model. Best known for producing, hosting, and judging the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, he has received several accolades, including 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, three GLAAD Media Awards, a Critics' Choice Television Award, two Billboard Music Awards, and a Tony Award. He has been dubbed the "Queen of Drag".

Miss Continental is an annual drag queen pageantry system founded in 1980 by Jim Flint. The pageant itself takes place at the Baton Show Lounge in Chicago, Illinois, and is usually held over Labor Day weekend. In 1991, the Miss Continental Pageantry System debuted Miss Continental Plus, a pageant for competitors weighing 225 pounds or more; Miss Continental Elite was created in 2004 for entertainers who are over the age of 40. Mr. Continental was formed in 2003 for male entertainers.

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), Drag Queen Storytime, Drag Story Time, and Drag Story Hour are children's events first started in 2015 by author and activist Michelle Tea in San Francisco with the goals of promoting reading and diversity. The events, usually geared for children aged 3–11, are hosted by drag queens who read children’s books, and engage in other learning activities in public libraries. Some see the concept as unconventional since libraries are usually more reserved and the queens usually host nightlife events rather than leading sing-alongs.
Queen of the Universe is a drag queen singing competition television series produced by World of Wonder. The series is hosted by Graham Norton with the four judges coming from backgrounds in the worlds of music, drag, and reality TV competitions. The contestants competed for a cash prize of $250,000. The series premiered on Paramount+ on December 2, 2021. In February 2022, the series was renewed for a second season.
