The United Kingdom Pavilion is a British-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase within Epcot at Walt Disney World near Bay Lake, Florida. The pavilion represents the four countries of the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is located between the France and Canada pavilions.
The buildings in the United Kingdom Pavilion represent the architectural history of the United Kingdom, ranging from a building inspired by Hampton Court Palace to another inspired by Anne Hathaway's Cottage. [1] There are also Tudor, Georgian and Victorian styles present. There are English Gardens which include a hedge maze and a band stand.
The shops sell British items such as tea, biscuits, toys, clothing, sports apparel and Beatles merchandise.
Gilbert-Scott telephone boxes line a rose garden near the pavilion's restrooms and there is often a direct connection on these phones to a similar box in the Canada pavilion nearby. [2]
A band called the British Revolution performs British rock music covers from acts such as the Police, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Blur and Led Zeppelin. A comedic group, known as the World Showcase Players, used to perform interactive versions of "King Arthur and the Holy Grail" and "Romeo and Juliet" (renamed "Romeo and Edna")[ when? ].
At the 2019 D23 Expo, an expansion to the Pavilion based on Mary Poppins films and books was announced with a new neighborhood based on Cherry Tree Lane, serving as the façade for a Mary Poppins dark ride. However, in 2023 the concept art and plans for the attraction were leaked on a former Imagineer's portfolio indicating the attraction would be an indoor teacups experience taking design cues from Mary Poppins Returns . The Land is a pavilion located in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The pavilion is dedicated to human interaction with the Earth, focusing on agriculture, conservation, and travel. Frozen Ever After is a musical reversing Shoot the Chute dark ride in Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort. Part of the Norway Pavilion of the Epcot's World Showcase section, the attraction features scenes inspired by Disney's animated film Frozen as well as the 2015 animated short Frozen Fever. It opened on June 21, 2016, using the ride vehicles and track layout of the former Maelstrom attraction. A version of the attraction opened at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 20, 2023, as part of The Walt Disney Company's centennial celebration and Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024 with one more scheduled to open at Disney Adventure World in the spring of 2025.
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is an annual garden festival at Epcot in Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida near Orlando in the spring, typically from early February through late May. The festival is included with regular admission, however, there are a couple events during the festival that do cost extra if guests choose to attend.
