Universidad Mesoamericana (in English, Mesoamerican University) is a private university in Guatemala. It has branches in Guatemala City and Quetzaltenango.

History

In 1971, the Salesians of Don Bosco association signed an agreement of academic cooperation with the Francisco Marroquín University and since 1972 they developed humanities and educational programmes.

Drawing on the experience and academic development that had been made, the procedures which led to the foundation of the Universidad Mesoamericana started in 1996. [1] It was approved by the Central American University Council of Private Higher Education in Guatemala on 1 October 1999.

In 2000, they developed the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences. A year later, in partnership with the Association of Managers of Guatemala, they established the Escuela Superior de Alta Gerencia (ESAG), to provide expertise.

In 2002, another branch was established in Quetzaltenango as part of the Central American University which is the High School Senior Management headquarters. Courses began in Computer Engineering and Business Finance in 2008.

Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala

EAFIT University

Universidad EAFIT is a private Colombian university located in Medellín offering 23 undergraduate programs, 70 specializations, 34 masters, and six doctoral programs. The university offers degrees in various disciplines through its schools of Management, Engineering, Law, Finance and Economics, Science, and Humanities. Rafael Landívar University

Rafael Landívar University(Universidad Rafael Landívar) is a private, Jesuit university in Guatemala, founded in 1961. The main campus is in Zone 16 of Guatemala City and is known as Vista Hermosa III. There are satellite campuses in Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango, Cobán, Zacapa, and other parts of the country. Many recent Guatemalan presidents have studied at the university, including Ramiro de León Carpio, Álvaro Arzú, and Óscar Berger.

University of Cauca

The Universidad del Cauca is a public institution of higher education located in the city of Popayán, capital of the department of Cauca, Colombia. It was created on April 24, 1827 by Decree by the President Francisco de Paula Santander, civil foundation for higher level educational institutions in major cities of the country newly liberated from Spanish rule, for effects of training of citizens who would support the independent national life at all levels, in different areas and activities. It was installed November 11, 1827 and the nationalization was ratified by Law 65 of 1964. It currently has 43 programs undergraduate and 48 programs postgraduate which include 29 specializations, 14 Masters and 5 Ph.D..

University of Málaga

The University of Málaga is a public university ranked 23 among all Spanish universities and 683 in the world. It was established in 1972 and has, as of 2016, 30,203 Bachelor students and 2576 on a Master's program, 1255 tenured and 1056 temporary teachers. The UMA offers 65 degree courses and 6 double degrees, over 21 doctoral programmes, 64 master's Degrees, and 100 courses throughout the academic year. Education takes place in 18 centres by appointed teachers from 81 departments. The great majority of the teaching is organised within the two campuses, although classes also take place in locations spread around the city centre, as well as in Ronda and Antequera.
