The Westcliff School, at 304 4th St. in Westcliffe, Colorado, was built in 1891. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. [1]

It has also been known as the Old Westcliffe School House. It was built of local field stone by stonemason, Archie Scherer, and is notable for his workmanship in the quoins and placement of dark field stones amongst the lighter ones. [2]

The listing included three contributing buildings. [2]

It was named as consistent with the standards for historic listing set by a 1999 study, "Rural School Buildings in Colorado MPS", but had already been listed. [3]

House at 380 Albion Street Historic house in Massachusetts, United States

The House at 380 Albion Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts is one of the finest Bungalow/Craftsman style houses in the town. It was built c. 1910 in a then-rural part of Wakefield that been annexed from Stoneham in the 1880s. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Springfield Schoolhouse United States historic place

The Springfield Schoolhouse, in Springfield, Colorado, is an 1889 rural schoolhouse built with sandstone quarried east of town. It is 53 by 33 feet in plan. It served as a school until 1920 when it became a Masonic Lodge. It has been known as Springfield Masonic Temple. It originally had a belfrey with school bell, but these elements were lost at some undetermined time.

National Register of Historic Places listings in Linn County, Kansas

There are eight properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in Linn County, Kansas. Two of the sites are the location of historic events. The Marais des Cygnes Massacre Site is the location of the Marais des Cygnes massacre, an 1858 event during Bleeding Kansas in which pro-slavery advocates kidnapped 11 anti-slavery settlers, killing five of them. John Brown temporarily used the site as a fort, and the property was listed on the NRHP in 1971. The Battle of Mine Creek Site preserves the location of the Battle of Mine Creek, which was fought in 1864 as part of Price's Raid during the American Civil War. Confederate general Sterling Price's army was retreating after being defeated at the Battle of Westport and was attacked by pursuing Union troops. Price's Confederate lost heavily in men and supplies. The site was added to the NRHP in 1973.

Hope Lutheran Church (Westcliffe, Colorado) Historic church in Colorado, United States

The Hope Lutheran Church is a historic church at 310 S. 3rd Street in Westcliffe, Colorado. The building was designed and constructed in 1917 by Reverend John Reininga and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Frederick Albert Hale was an American architect who practiced in states including Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. According to a 1977 NRHP nomination for the Keith-O'Brien Building in Salt Lake City, "Hale worked mostly in the classical styles and seemed equally adept at Beaux-Arts Classicism, Neo-Classical Revival or Georgian Revival." He also employed Shingle and Queen Anne styles for several residential structures. A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Stone Jail Building and Row House are two adjacent stone buildings located on Water Street in Tonopah, Nevada. The jail was built in 1903 and the adjacent row house in 1908. Both building were at one time used as a brothel. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Spencer Hollow School United States historic place

The Spencer Hollow School is a historic school building at 50 Spencer Hollow Road in Springfield, Vermont. Built about 1810, it is a fine local example of a district schoolhouse. It was used as a school until 1926, and as a clubhouse for a time thereafter. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

District No. 2 School (Georgia, Vermont) United States historic place

The District No. 2 School is a historic school building at 2442 Polly Hubbard Road in Georgia, Vermont. Built in 1843 and enlarged in 1931, it is a good local example of mid-19th century vernacular Greek Revival school architecture. It was restored in the 1990s after being abandoned for some years, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Big Sink Rural Historic District, in Woodford County, Kentucky near Versailles, Kentucky, is a 5,000 acres (20 km2) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. The listing included Number of 180 contributing buildings, 33 contributing structures, and 44 contributing sites.

The National Hotel, also known as the Wolff Building or Hard Time Hotel, is a historic hotel in Westcliffe, Colorado. It was built in 1887 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Earl School United States historic place

The Earl School, near Earl, Colorado in Las Animas County, Colorado, was built in 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is a rare example of a surviving building associated with rural black Americans in Colorado.

Old Trail School (Wiggins, Colorado) United States historic place

The Old Trail School, at 421 High St. in Wiggins, Colorado, is a historic one-room schoolhouse which was built around 1912. It has also been known as the Reed School, presumably because it was located on the Reed family homestead. It was moved in 1917 to a site close to the Fort Morgan cut-off of the Overland Trail. It served as a school from c.1912 to 1946, when schools were consolidated. It was then moved to Wiggins to stand next to the continuing school there, and it was used as a music room. After the continuing school was expanded in 1963, it was no longer needed for that purpose. The Wiggins Historical Group took ownership in 1964 and moved it to its current location. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Knearl School United States historic place

The Knearl School, at 314 S. Clayton St. in Brush, Colorado, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It is a red brick one-story building, about 58 by 30 feet in plan, built in 1911. It was used as a school until 1971.

Ward School (Ward, Colorado) United States historic place

The Ward School, at 66 Columbia St. in Ward, Colorado, is a historic school building later used as the town hall, public library, and post office of Ward Township, and also has been known as Ward Townhall and Post Office. It was built in 1898 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "Ward School" in 1989.

Bunce School United States historic place

The Bunce School, near Allenspark, Colorado near the Continental Divide in Boulder County, Colorado, is a historic one-room schoolhouse built in 1888. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
