Georgy (Yury) Leonidovich Pyatakov was a Ukrainian revolutionary and Bolshevik leader, and a key Soviet politician during and after the 1917 Russian Revolution. Pyatakov was considered by contemporaries to be one of the early communist state's best economic administrators, but with poor political judgement.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Martemyan Ryutin</span> Soviet politician (1890–1937)

Martemyan Nikitich Ryutin was a Russian Marxist activist, Bolshevik revolutionary, and a political functionary of the Russian Communist Party. Ryutin is best remembered as the leader of a pro-peasant political faction organized against Soviet leader Joseph Stalin in the early 1930s and as the primary author of a 200-page oppositional platform. Ryutin was arrested by the Soviet secret police, along with his co-thinkers, in what has come to be known as the Ryutin Affair. He was executed in January 1937 as part of the "Yezhovshchina" conducted against political oppositionists and suspected economic "wreckers" and spies.

Nikolai Aleksandrovich Uglanov was a Russian Bolshevik politician and Soviet statesman who played an important role in the government of the Soviet Union as a Communist Party leader in the city of Moscow during the 1920s. Uglanov was closely associated with the so-called "Right Deviation" associated with Soviet party leader Nikolai Bukharin and he fell from his leadership position during the mass collectivization campaign of 1929. Uglanov was arrested in the summer of 1936 and was executed the following spring during the secret police terror of 1937–38.

This title was one rank below Honored Artist of the RSFSR and one above People's Artist of the USSR.

Bogoslovskoe Cemetery is a cemetery in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is located in the Kalininsky District of the city between Laboratornaya Street and Prospekt Mechnikov.

Valentina Romanovna Parshina was a Soviet and Russian agronomist and politician. She was a foreman of vegetable growers at the Detskoselsky Order of Lenin state farm as well as an elected member of the 10th and 11th convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union and was on the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union between 1989 and 1990. Parshina and her team gave food to the Soviet state and became self-sufficient with more than 100 employees. She was honoured with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, twice the Order of Lenin with the title of Hero of Socialist Labour, the "Hammer and Sickle" gold medal and the Order of the October Revolution.
