Banerji Memorial Club is a private social club situated in Thrissur city, Kerala state in India. It is the oldest club in Central Kerala.
Located at the heart of the Swaraj Round, Thrissur, the club was founded in 1914. The club is named after Albion Rajkumar Banerji, Diwan of Cochin Kingdom who founded the club. The first President of the club was J. W. Bhore, Diwan of Cochin Kingdom. Rama Varma XV, the Maharaja of Cochin, was the first patron of the club.
The club is locked with a land dispute with Thrissur Municipal Corporation and Government of Kerala. The club sits in 51.625 cents of land. The club is mainly popular for organising corporate workshops, business conferences, training sessions, annual general meetings, product launches and exhibitions. Vadakkumnathan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva at city of Thrissur, of Kerala state in India. This temple is a classical example of the architectural style of Kerala and has one monumental tower on each of the four sides in addition to a kuttambalam. Mural paintings depicting various scenes from the Mahabharata can be seen inside the temple. The shrines and the Kuttambalam display vignettes carved in wood. The temple, along with the mural paintings, has been declared as a National Monument by India under the AMASR Act. According to popular local lore, this is the first temple built by Parasurama, the sixth avatara of Vishnu. Thekkinkadu Maidan, encircling the Vadakkunnathan Temple, is the main venue of the renowned Thrissur Pooram festival.

Pallithode is a village in the Alappuzha district, in the state of Kerala, India, on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Pallithode is within the Gram Panchayat of Kuthiathode, Pattanakad Block, of Cherthala Taluk. During the 20th century, more than half of its width was eroded away by the action of river backwaters and the sea. The village is very densely populated and has a wet, maritime tropical climate. The 2016–17 Kerala Premier League Season is the fourth season of the Kerala Premier League. Unlike last 3 seasons, The season features 11 teams which will be divided into 2 groups with Group A having 5 and Group B having 6 teams and is played on a home-and-away format with half of the teams being private clubs. Later Quartz SC announced its withdrawal from the league making the number of teams 10. The season kicked off on 8 April 2017. KSEB beat FC Thrissur in the finals to clinch their maiden Kerala Premier League Title.
Kochi rajya prajamandalam is a political party which was formed in 1941 at Thrissur, In connection with Indian independence movement. E. Ikkanda Warrier, V. R. Krishnan Ezhuthachan, S. Neelakanda Iyer, Kurur Neelakandan Namboodiripad were the key people in the formation of the party. Eminent politicians like Panampilly Govinda Menon, K. Karunakaran had worked in this party.
