Hereford College of Arts (HCA) is an art school based in the West Midlands, United Kingdom.
It offers courses in both further and higher education fields, in Art & Design, Music and Performing Arts, to national and international students. The College has two campuses: Folly Lane is home to College-level courses, and the former Royal National College for the Blind building on College Road is home to University-level courses. The BA (Hons) Artist Blacksmithing Course is taught at a teaching forge in Europe. Students are selling their work before they graduate via commissions. Music and Performing Arts students stage regular productions based at the College and at external venues. Students attend regular specialist shows and conferences.
The College offers a variety of University Level Courses, which are validated by The University of Wales Trinity Saint David. College Level Courses include Diploma in Art & Design, Extended Diploma in Art & Design, Extended Diploma in Music, Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, and the post-18 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design.
The College also offers Postgraduate courses in Fine Art and Contemporary Crafts and Short Courses for evening study and businesses, and Saturday Clubs for schoolchildren. The college was founded shortly after The Great Exhibition in 1851 prompted the UK Government to set up The Department of Practical Art. It was requested to set up an Elementary School of Art on December 4, 1852, [1] when it had "conformed to all the regulations and [was] waiting for the appointment of masters". Records suggest the school opened in 1853, when it was hailed as a self-sustaining success by South Kensington. [2] The Hereford School of Art and Science register from 1885 [3] shows students from a wide range of backgrounds and industries enrolled in various courses of study. The School of Art and Science continued until 1903, when it moved to LEA control.
Following the post-shakeup of technical and vocational education in 1944, [4] the Art and Science school at Hereford became known as the Hereford School of Art [5] before becoming the Herefordshire College of Art & Design. The name changed to incorporate the inclusion of Music and Performing Arts. In 2012, a new Arts Space and main entrance for Folly Lane were unveiled, providing a café and exhibition space. Designed by Hewitt Studios and constructed by Keir Moss, the space was funded entirely from college reserves. Landscaped gardens and outdoor areas are integrated into the design. This space has hosted a number of exhibitions and events.

In June 2013, HCA acquired the former Royal National College building on College Road. This building provides studio and workshop spaces and places degree students closer to the main campus on Folly Lane. During summer 2013, HCA refurbished and adapted the spaces into studios, workshops, an on-site library, photographic studios and stores, darkrooms and IT facilities, including a large digital Mac and printing suite.

It was established in February 2012 following the merger of Filton College and Stroud College. Gray's School of Art is the Robert Gordon University's art school, located in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is one of the oldest established fine art institutions in Scotland and one of Scotland's five art schools today, and ranked among the Top 20 Schools of Art and Design in the United Kingdom. The School is housed in a modernist building at the university's Garthdee campus in Aberdeen. As well as degree-level training in fine art, applied art and design, Gray's School of Art offers short courses and evening classes to the general public in a wide variety of mediums. Many of these are designed for those with no previous formal training, and can also be used to develop a portfolio prior to applying for degree-level study. The School also mounts exhibitions, including the annual Degree Show which showcases the work of students on its programmes.
The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) is Ireland's oldest art institution, offering the largest range of art and design degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the country. Originating as a drawing school in 1746, many of the most important Irish artists, designers and art educators have studied or taught in the college. NCAD has always been located in central Dublin, and in 1980 it relocated to the historic Liberties area. The College has around 950 full-time students and a further 600 pursuing part-time courses, and NCAD's students come from more than forty countries. NCAD is a Recognised College of University College Dublin. It is also a member of the European League of Institutes of the Arts.

Dartington College of Arts was a specialist arts college located at Dartington Hall in the south-west of England, offering courses at degree and postgraduate level together with an arts research programme. It existed for a period of almost 50 years, from its foundation in 1961, to when it closed at Dartington in 2010. A version of the College was then re-established in what became Falmouth University, and the Dartington title was subsequently dropped. The College was one of only a few in Britain devoted exclusively to specialist practical and theoretical studies in courses spanning right across the arts. It had an international reputation as a centre for contemporary practice. As well as the courses offered, it became a meeting point for practitioners and teachers from around the world. Dartington was known not only as a place for training practitioners, but also for its emphasis on the role of the arts in the wider community.
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, formerly Mountview Theatre School, is a drama school in Peckham, south London, England, founded in 1945. The Academy provides specialist vocational training in acting, musical theatre and actor musicianship as well as production arts and theatre creative practices.
