The Israel national netball team participates in International tournaments, representing the country of Israel. They are part of Netball Europe and are a full member of the International Netball Federation (INF). They are also associate members of FENA (Federation of European Netball Associations). [2] [3]

Other teams have since joined the league, including Katamon and Jtown. [5] The Yonathan School Sports Hall in Ra’anana was the venue of the final game in the first domestic netball league in Israel. Jodi Saitowitz Carreira is the secretary and founder of Israel netball. In the 2014/2015 season, all leagues games were held in "the new sports centre", in the city of Modi'in Maccabim Reut. In 2016, the national team participated in the Challenge Cup of the Open Championships in England with a strong squad featuring tournament MVP Nomi Komar and her sister Chani Nomar. [5]

The Israeli Premier League, officially The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange League for sponsorship purposes, is a professional association football league which operates as the highest division of the Israeli Football League – the state's league of Israel. The league is contested by 14 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with its second division Liga Leumit. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing between 33 and 36 matches each, totalling 240 matches in every season. Five matches are played on Saturdays, with one match played on Sundays and the last one on Mondays.

Israel is an international center for Jewish sport around the world and since 1932 the Maccabiah Games, an Olympic-style event for Jewish athletes, is held in the country. Despite Israel's location in the Asian continent, the Israeli sports associations in various sports belong to the European associations due to the refusal of many Arab Asian countries to compete with Israeli athletes.

In Israel, baseball was historically not a popular sport, though many initiatives are in place to help change this, and the effect of being one of six nations to qualify in baseball for the 2020 Olympics has yet to be felt. There are approximately 1,000 players in 16 cities across the country. Volunteer coaches and donors are instrumental to the growth and development of the sport as baseball resources are very low. Israel is currently ranked 19th in the world in the sport, though that does not reflect its performance in 2019, in which it qualified for the 2020 Olympics.

The 2013–14 Israeli Premier League was the fifteenth season since its introduction in 1999 and the 71st season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 24 August 2013 and ended on 17 May 2014. Maccabi Tel Aviv were the defending champions, having won their second Premier League title, and 19th championship last season. They successfully defended their title this season.

2018 World Lacrosse Championship international mens field lacrosse championship

The 2018 World Lacrosse Championship was the 13th edition of the international men’s field lacrosse tournament for national teams organized by the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL). As many as 50 countries were expected to compete in the tournament; with the official total coming in at 46, which made the 2018 WLC the largest of all-time. The games were held in Netanya, Israel on 12–21 July 2018.

The President is Ms. Sandra Farrugia, and the Secretary is Ms. Josianne Gatt. Helga Turban is the head coach of the U21 side.

Dragan Bender is a Croatian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He stands 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) in shoes, and plays the power forward and center positions. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Bender represents the Croatian national team, with experience in the FIBA Europe junior tournaments. The Israel men's national lacrosse team is governed by the Israel Lacrosse Association. Their best finish was at the 2016 European Lacrosse Championship, winning the silver medal. Israel finished in 7th place at the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship. In both tournaments, England defeated Israel by one goal in the single-elimination round.

Tomer Moshe Steinhauer is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently the assistant coach for Maccabi Haifa of the Liga Leumit. Steinhauer played for the Israel national basketball team in 1986-2001, and was an Israeli Cup winner in 1993 with Hapoel Tel Aviv and Israeli champion in 1996 with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Nitzan Hanochi Israeli basketball player

Nitzan Yehuda Hanochi is an Israeli professional basketball player for Bnei Herzliya of the Israeli National League. He was named the Israeli League Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and the Israeli League Most Improved Player in 2011.
