The Norway national cricket team is the team that represents the Kingdom of Norway in international cricket matches. The Norwegian Cricket Board became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000, and the national side played its first international match later that year. Most of the side's matches have been against members of the European Cricket Council (ECC), although in more recent years Norway has fielded sides in the lower divisions of the World Cricket League (WCL). The team's current head coach is Muhammad Haroon, a former first-class player in Pakistan, who was appointed in early 2014. In 2017, they became an associate member.
The England national womens netball team, also known as the Vitality Roses, represent England in international netball competition. England are coached by Jess Thirlby, and are captained by Natalie Haythornthwaite. As of 1 July 2019, the team is ranked third in the INF World Rankings. England have won one silver and several bronze medals at the World Cup and have won one gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
The Gibraltar national football team represents Gibraltar in international football competitions, and is controlled by the Gibraltar Football Association. Gibraltar applied for full UEFA membership and was accepted by the UEFA Congress in May 2013 and can therefore compete in the UEFA European Championship beginning with the 2016 tournament for which the team competed in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group D. On 13 May 2016 Gibraltar became a member of FIFA at the governing body's 66th Congress which was held in Mexico City. Gibraltar is the smallest UEFA member in terms of both area and population.
The United States Men's Para 7 aside (Paralympic) National Soccer Team represents the United States in international competitions. It is operated by the United States Soccer Federation. The team finished seventh at the 2015 IPCPF World Championships. They have competed at several Paralympic Games, including the 1984, 1992, 1996, 2004 and 2012 editions. One of their best finishes was in 1996 when they finished fourth. Their Head Coach is Stuart Sharp. Comedian Josh Blue is one of their former players.
The Jamaica national netball team, commonly known as the Sunshine Girls, represent Jamaica in international netball competition. Netball is not only the number one women's sport in Jamaica but also the number one team sport in the island, based on World Rankings and recent history and the majority of the schools in Jamaica participate. Netball receives full media coverage on television, radio and in newspapers but does not get as much coverage as less successful team sports such as football and cricket. Jamaica were coached by former representative Oberon Pitterson, and captained by midcourt veteran Nadine Bryan up to the end of 2013. However, a Technical Director and new coach, were appointed in early 2014. As of 21 July 2019, Jamaica are fourth in the INF World Rankings. While the senior Jamaican netball team is widely known as the Sunshine Girls, the Jamaican Fast 5 netball team is known as Jamaica Fast5 or the FAST5 Girls.
Netball New Zealand is the national body which oversees, promotes and manages netball in New Zealand, including the Silver Ferns.
The Botswana national netball team represent Botswana in international netball tests. Botswana competed in the 2007 World Netball Championships, their first appearance at a World Championships, finishing tenth. They also came second at the 2008 Nations Cup, and finished 13th at the 2011 World Championships in Singapore. As of 2 December 2019, Botswana are 24th in the INF World Rankings.
The Cook Islands national netball team represent the Cook Islands in international netball. In recent years they have finished 1st at the 2019 Pacific Games, 1st at the 2018 Nations Cup in Singapore, 10th at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and 7th at the 2007 World Netball Championships; the Cook Islands did not qualify for the 2011 World Championships in Singapore. The Cook Islands team were ranked as high as 10th in the INF World Rankings at one stage, now currently 14th.
Netball is the most popular women's sport in New Zealand, in terms of player participation and public interest. With the national team, the Silver Ferns, currently ranked second in the world, netball maintains a high profile in New Zealand. As in other netball-playing countries, netball is considered primarily a women's sport; men's and mixed teams exist at different levels, but are ancillary to women's competition.
Netball is primarily played in Commonwealth countries, which were heavily involved in standardising the rules for netball. The Federation of European Netball Associations (FENA), sometimes referred to as Netball Europe, is the governing body for netball in the Europe netball region. The organisation was created in 1989/1990. As of August 2016, the English women's national team was ranked 3rd in the world, Wales is ranked 8th, Scotland is ranked 10th, Northern Ireland is ranked 12th, Ireland are ranked 25th, Gibraltar are ranked 31st, Malta are ranked 32nd and Switzerland are ranked 34th.
The Saint Lucia national netball team represent Saint Lucia in international netball. Saint Lucia are ranked 20th in the INF World Rankings, making them the fifth-highest-ranked team in the Americas netball region. Despite this position, the Saint Lucia team have not attended a major world tournament since the 2003 World Netball Championships in Jamaica, where they finished 15th. This changed in 2014 as they participated in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, finishing 12th.
The United States national netball team represents the United States in international netball. The US national team comprises mostly expatriate players from Commonwealth countries where netball is popular, including Jamaica. The team competed at the 2003 World Netball Championships in Jamaica, finishing 9th. Prior to 2008, the final placings of the World Netball Championships were used to determine world rankings, and thus from 2003–07 the United States team was ranked 9th in the world. It did not compete at the 2007 World Netball Championships in New Zealand; as of 2 December 2019, the team is ranked 37th in the INF World Rankings.
Netball Switzerland was founded in 2009 by a group of volunteers to promote the game of Netball within Switzerland. Swiss Netball became a full member of INF in 2011. Switzerland is ranked on the INF World rankings - www.netball.org.
The Canadian national netball team is the national netball team of Canada. The netball team is selected through a trials process and competes on the world stage through regional AFNA competitions and qualifying tournaments to gain entry into The Commonwealth Games and the World Netball Championships. As of 2 December 2019, Canada were 32nd in the INF World Rankings. The team participates in the Netball World Championships, considered the highest level of competition for the sport, and its best result came in 1991 when they came 6th. Canada's first netball win was in the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games when they beat Sri Lanka 52–49. The current Team Canada members are below. Canada is a member of the INF Americas region, with Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) being the lead agency.
The Republic of Ireland national netball team is the national netball team of the Republic of Ireland. Their best performance at international tournament was a 10th place finish in the 1991 World Netball Championships. As of 2 December 2019, the Republic of Ireland are 26th in the INF World Rankings. The Gibraltar national under-19 football team represents Gibraltar in football competitions at under-19 level and is controlled by the Gibraltar Football Association. It is a full member of FIFA and is therefore eligible to enter any FIFA-sanctioned tournaments. Gibraltar applied for full UEFA membership and was accepted by the UEFA Congress in May 2013 and can therefore compete in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship beginning with the 2014 edition of the tournament.
The Israel national netball team participates in International tournaments, representing the country of Israel. They are part of Netball Europe and are a full member of the International Netball Federation (INF). They are also associate members of FENA.
The Malta national netball team participates in International tournaments, representing the country of Malta. They are part of Netball Europe and are a full member of the International Netball Federation (INF). They are also associate members of FENA. Malta achieved an International Ranking position in 2012. As of 7 March 2018, they are currently ranked 37th in the INF World Rankings. The Netball Association of Malta is located is located in Sliema, Malta. The President is Ms. Sandra Farrugia, and the Secretary is Ms. Josianne Gatt. Helga Turban is the head coach of the U21 side.
The European section of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification acted as qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which was held in Russia, for national teams that are members of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Apart from Russia, who qualified automatically as hosts, a total of 13 slots in the final tournament were available for UEFA teams.
Scotland national cerebral palsy football team is the national cerebral football team for Scotland that represents the team in international competitions. At the 2015 IPCPF World Championships, Scotland finished 9th after defeating Canada in overtime.
