An oil refinery or petroleum refinery is an industrial process plant where petroleum is transformed and refined into useful products such as gasoline (petrol), diesel fuel, asphalt base, fuel oils, heating oil, kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas and petroleum naphtha. Paraguaná Refinery Complex

The Paraguaná Refinery Complex is a crude oil refinery complex in Venezuela. It is considered the world's third largest refinery complex, just after Jamnagar Refinery (India) and Ulsan Refinery. The Paraguaná Refinery Complex was created by the fusion of Amuay Refinery, Bajo Grande Refinery and Cardón Refinery. The Paraguana Refinery Complex is still the largest refinery in the Western Hemisphere. As of 2012, it refined 955 thousand barrels per day (151,800 m3/d). The complex is located in the Paraguaná Peninsula in Falcón state and the western coast of Lake Maracaibo in the Zulia state. The complex accounts for 71% of the refining capacity of Venezuela and it belongs to the state-owned company Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).

It is under the ownership of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, headquartered in New Delhi, Delhi NCT, India. The public sector undertaking is ranked 212th on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2021. It is the largest government owned oil corporation in the country, with a net profit of $6.1 billion for the financial year 2020-21. As of 31 March 2021, Indian Oil's employee strength is 31,648, out of which 17,762 are executives and 13,876 non-executives, while 2,775 are women, comprising 8.77% of the total workforce.

The Antipinsky Refinery is a Russian oil refinery located in south-east Tyumen, Tyumen Oblast, adjacent to the Tyumen trunk oil pipelines and the Tyumen-3 pumping station. It is amongst one of the larger refineries in Russia, participating on the Urals and West Siberian oil market, where it is the only refinery in operation in the Ural Federal District. As of 2022, it is Russia’s largest privately-owned oil processing plant, with a total processing capacity of nine million tonnes of crude oil per year. It is also the only oil refinery constructed in Russia since the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Halychyna Oil Refinery Complex

The Halychyna Oil Refinery Complex is the oldest oil refinery in Ukraine, and it was built in 1863. As of 2005, its capacity is about 3.5 million tons of crude oil per year. The refinery is located in the city of Drohobych, Lviv Oblast.

Kremenchuk Oil Refinery is the largest enterprise for the production of petroleum products in Ukraine. It is located in Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast. Since 1994 it has been the main branch of PJSC Ukrtatnafta.

Naftokhimik Prykarpattya is one of the oldest oil refineries in Ukraine, built in 1897, with a capacity of about 2.6 million tons of crude oil per year as of 2005. PJSC Naftokhimik Prykarpattya is one of the six oil refineries in Ukraine and the only one that works with Ukrainian raw materials.

Lebedinsky Oil Plant is a Ukrainian oil refining enterprise. The company was founded in late 1994 with the support of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oil Refining Industry "Masma" (Kyiv) on the basis of a former military facility as a company with a modern name. The design production capacity was 50 thousand tons per year.
