Madame Gu is a superyacht built in 2013 [1] at the Dutch Feadship yard in Makkum. She was built as Project Dream. Madame Gu is designed by Andrew Winch Designs, who were responsible for both interior and exterior, opting for contemporary details in a classical style. [2] Naval architecture was done by De Voogt Naval Architects.

History

In March 2022, Forbes reported that the yacht Madame Gu was still owned by Andrei Skoch. At 352 feet and registered in the Cayman Islands with a value of $156 million, by that month it had been sanctioned by the US, EU, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, and Switzerland. It was recorded in the UAE on March 6, and blocked by the US on June 2, 2022. [3] When designating it blocked property, US Department of the Treasury noted it contained a private helicopter, an elevator, beach club, gym, and also required "significant maintenance and repair" including around $1 million for painting annually. [4] On June 23, 2022, it was recorded docked in Dubai, and had been since March 25. The Washington Post said the docking was a "a test for the close partnership between the United States and United Arab Emirates." It was observed flying an Emirati flag. [5]

Design

The length of the yacht is 99 m (325 ft) and the beam is 13.60 m (44.6 ft). The draught of Madame Gu is 4.60 m (15.1 ft). The hull material is steel, while the superstructure is made out of aluminum with teak laid decks. The yacht is Lloyd's registered, issued by the Cayman Islands.

Engine

The main engines are four MTU 20V 4000 M73 with a power of 4.828 hp (3.600 kW) each. The Madame Gu can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots (44 km/h).

Prizes

At the World Superyachts Award gala in Amsterdam she won the award for best Displacement Motor Yacht of 2,000GT and above. She was also presented with prize of Superyacht of the Year 2014. [6]

MY Royal Romance is a 92-metre luxury yacht, built by Feadship as hull #1005 and designed by De Voogt Naval Architects. Her interior design is done by Seymour Diamond. She is powered by twin MTU 3,004 hp diesel engines. One of her exterior features includes a swimming pool located on the main aft deck. Royal Romance accommodates 14 guests and 22 crew members. She was delivered to her owner, the Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk, in July 2015 and subsequently sold on 31.03.2021. Royal Romance is not available for charter.

<i>ROCK.IT</i> (yacht) Dutch superyacht

ROCK.IT is a 60.35 m superyacht launched at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer. The yacht was designed by Dutch design company Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, which also worked with Feadship on the 88 m (289 ft) twins Musashi and Fountainhead. The yacht is owned by Jimmy John Liautaud, who was involved in the design process.

<i>Savannah</i> (yacht)

Savannah is a super-yacht built in 2015 at the Dutch Feadship yard in Aalsmeer.

<i>Dilbar</i> (yacht) Super-yacht

Dilbar is a super-yacht launched on 14 November 2015 at the German Lürssen shipyard and delivered in 2016. She was built as Project Omar. The interior design of Dilbar was designed by Andrew Winch and the exterior by Espen Oeino.

<i>Lunasea</i> (yacht)

The 73 m (240 ft) superyacht Lunasea was launched at the Feadship yard at the Kaag Island in 2017 named Hasna. She was delivered to her first owner, John Symond, later that year. Hasna was listed for sale for the first time in 2019 and reported to be sold in 2020 to American businessman Yahn Bernier. Subsequently, her name was changed to Lunasea.

<i>Joy</i> (yacht)

The 70 m (230 ft) superyacht Joy was launched at the Feadship yard at the Kaag Island. She was designed by Bannenberg & Rowell Design, and the interior design was created by Studio Indigo.

<i>Hampshire</i> (yacht) Superyacht

The 66.25 m (217.4 ft) superyacht Hampshire was launched at the Feadship yard on Kaag Island as Vanish. The yacht was owned by Larry Van Tuyl before he sold her to Andrew Currie. London based designer Harrison Eidsgaard, designed both the interior and exterior of Hampshire.

<i>Aquarius</i> (yacht)

The 92 m (302 ft) superyacht Aquarius was launched at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer. Dutch design company Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, designed both the interior and exterior of Aquarius.

<i>Fountainhead</i> (yacht)

Fountainhead, is a motor yacht built in 2011 by Feadship for American billionaire Eddie Lampert. With an overall length of 87.78 m (288.0 ft) and a beam of 13.90 m (45.6 ft).

<i>Musashi</i> (yacht)

Musashi, is a motor yacht built in 2011 by Feadship and is owned by American billionaire Larry Ellison. With an overall length of 87.78 m (288.0 ft) and a beam of 13.90 m (45.6 ft) she is the 79th largest yacht in the world, tied with her sister ship Fountainhead. Musashi is named after the Japanese samurai Miyamoto Musashi.

<i>Romea</i> (yacht)

<i>Nord</i> (yacht) 2020 superyacht by Lürssen

The 142 m (466 ft) superyacht Nord was launched by Lürssen at their yard near Bremen-Vegesack. Both the yacht's exterior and interior design are the work of Nuvolari & Lenard. Nord, formerly known as Project OPUS, was built under the supervision of yacht brokerage Moran Yacht & Ship based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship belongs to billionaire Alexey Mordashov and is estimated to be worth $500 million. Following Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine the yacht sailed to the Seychelles and then on to the Russian Pacific port of Vladivostok to escape seizure by Western authorities.

<i>Faith</i> (yacht) Yacht, manufactured in 2017 by Feadship

The 96.55 m (316.8 ft) superyacht Faith was launched by Feadship at their yard in Makkum and delivered later that same year as a replacement for the owners previous yacht, now named Flag, which he sold in 2017 to Tommy Hilfiger.
