Admiral Naveed Ashraf NI(M) HI(M) SI(M) TI(M) TBt is an Admiral and a Flag Officer in the Pakistan Navy who is currently serving as the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. [1] [2]
The Admiral is an alumnus of the Pakistan Naval War College, the National Defence University and the Naval War College, US. He has also obtained his military education from the Royal College of Defence Studies, UK. [1] [2] [3]
Ashraf was commissioned in the Pakistan Navy with his first appointment in 1989 at the operations branch. His command assignments includes 18th and 25th Destroyer Squadrons, commandant Pakistan Naval Academy, in addition to serving as the Commanding Officer of PNS ALAMGIR, PNS SHAHJAHAN, PNS TIPPU SULTAN, PNS MUJAHID and PNS LARKANA. At staff, he was appointed as Fleet Operations Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, Chief of Staff for Combined Task Force 151 at the United States Naval Forces Central Command, Chief Instructor and Deputy President of the National Defence University, and Captain Training at the Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Admin), Director General C4I, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Personnel), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Chief of Staff, and the Vice Chief of Naval Staff. In acknowledgment of his meritorious services, Admiral Naveed Ashraf has been honored with the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Basalat. [1] [2] [7] [8] [9]

The Pakistan Navy (PN) is the uniform naval warfare branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The President of Pakistan is the Supreme Commander of the Navy. The Chief of the Naval Staff, a four-star admiral commands the navy. The Pakistan Navy operates on the coastline of Pakistan in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman. It was established in August 1947, following the independence of Pakistan from the United Kingdom.

Admiral Mohammad Asif SandilaNI(M) HI(M) SI(M) LoM OM BJSN BYD, is a retired four-star admiral in the Pakistan Navy who was the 14th Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy. Prior to this command appointment, Sandila briefly tenured as the Vice Chief Naval Staff in the Pakistan Navy which he assumed in 2010.

Commander Pakistan Fleet (COMPAK) is a formal title in the Pakistan Navy to denote the head as the commander of Pakistan Fleet Command with duties sanctioned by the navy for fleet support, progressive transition of the fleet, and ensuring effectiveness of the force.
