The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a political party in Pakistan. It was founded in 1996 by Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, who served as the country's prime minister from 2018 to 2022. The PTI is one of the three major Pakistani political parties alongside the Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML–N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), and it is the largest party in terms of representation in the National Assembly of Pakistan since the 2018 general election. With over 10 million members in Pakistan and abroad, it claims to be the country's largest political party by primary membership as well as one of the largest political parties in the world.
Awami Muslim League Pakistan is a Pakistani political party formed in June 2008 by Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad. The party tends to have close relations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party.
Amir Muqam Khan is a Pakistani politician, national conservative, and mechanical engineer who was Advisor to Prime Minister on federal departments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 29 October 2013.
General elections were held in Pakistan on Saturday 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) led by Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led by President Asif Ali Zardari and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan. Prior to the elections, the ruling PPP formed an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Awami National Party, while the main opposition party, the PML-N allied with the Pakistan Muslim League (F) and Baloch parties. The PTI led by cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, also emerged as a key-player.
NA-29 Peshawar-II is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan.
Yasmin Rashid is a Pakistani politician and social activist who was the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Primary & Secondary Healthcare and Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education, in office from August 2018 till April 2022 and then again from July 2022 till January 2023. She had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from August 2018 till January 2023.
NA-187 Jampur is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It mainly includes the area of Jampur Tehsil. Before the 2018 delimitations, it also included the town of Fazilpur, but it has since been moved to the new NA-194 (Rajanpur-II).
General elections were held in Pakistan on Wednesday, 25 July 2018 to elect the members of 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan, the Pakistan Muslim League led by Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistan Peoples Party led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority; the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. At the provincial level, the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab, the result was a hung parliament with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) winning the most seats. However, after several independents MPAs joined the PTI, the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.

Usman Khan Tarakai is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the constituency NA-19 (Swabi-II) from August 2018 till January 2023. Previously, he was a member of the National Assembly NA-12 from 2008 to May 2018.
Muhammad Siddique Khan Baloch is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to October 2015 and a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1988 to 1993, from 1997 to 1999, and from August 2018 to January 2023.
Laiq Muhammad Khan is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2010 to 2013. He was also a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 to January 2023.
Sahabzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan is a Pakistani politician who had been the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, in office from 5 October 2018 to 18 November 2019. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till January 2023.
There was a by-election in the Pakistani parliamentary constituency of NA-120 on 17 September 2017, following the decision given by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from public office. PML (N) candidate Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif secured 61,745 votes and defeated Yasmin Rashid of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Arbab Muhammad Wasim Khan is a Pakistani politician hailing from Peshawar, who had been a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from May 2016 to May 2018 and from August 2018 to January 2023.
Fawad Ahmed Hussain Chaudhry is a Pakistani politician and a senior member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, who was Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, in office since 14 April 2021 to 10 April 2022.
General elections are scheduled to be held in Pakistan less than 60 days after the dissolution of the National Assembly, which is set to dissolve on 13 August 2023 upon completing its five year term, unless dissolved earlier, in which case the election shall be held within 90 days after dissolution according to the constitution. This means that the election must be held no later than 14 October 2023. The three major parties are Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) led by incumbent prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led by incumbent Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
General elections were held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, 25 July 2018 to elect the 51 members of 15th National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) obtained a landslide victory in the province by winning 37 general seats and increased their margin of victory from 2013. The PTI also won 8 out of 10 reserved seats while the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) won 1 reserved seat each.
By-elections were held on 8 National Assembly and 3 Punjab Assembly constituencies in Pakistan on 16 October 2022 and 1 National Assembly seat on 30 October 2022. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got a landslide victory by winning 7 out of 9 National Assembly and 2 out of 3 Punjab Assembly seats seats whereas the Pakistan Democratic Movement, an alliance of 14 parties, was only able to win 2 National Assembly seats and 1 Punjab Assembly seat.
