Public Gardens also known as Bagh-e-Aam is a historic park located in the heart of the city of Hyderabad, India. It was built in 1846 by the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad and is the oldest park in Hyderabad. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Public Gardens also known as Bagh-e-Aam (Bagheaam) or Bagham. In Urdu "Bagh" means Garden and Aam or "Aam Jana" means "the public" was built in 1846. during the period of the Nizam's. Post-1980 it started being called as Public Gardens. [5]
The Telangana State Archaeology Museum, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, a well known open-air theater "Lalitha Kala Toranam", "Jawahar Bal Bhavan", The Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative council buildings are located here. Even today people use this as a recreation park. It is located at Nampally.
A visit to the Telangana State Archaeology Museum is a delight for art lovers. Located in the picturesque Public Gardens, the museum boasts of one of the richest repositories of antiques and art objects in the country. Built in 1920 by the Nizam VII, the museum building itself is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. The museum contains a Buddhist gallery, Brahmanical & Jain gallery, Bronze gallery, Arms & Armour gallery, Numismatics gallery, Ajanta gallery and more. Adjacent to the State Museum is the Contemporary Art Museum.[ citation needed ]

Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII was the last Nizam (ruler) of the Princely State of Hyderabad, the largest princely state in British India. He ascended the throne on 29 August 1911, at the age of 25 and ruled the Kingdom of Hyderabad between 1911 and 1948, until India annexed it. He was styled as His Exalted Highness-(H.E.H) the Nizam of Hyderabad, and was widely considered one of the world's wealthiest people of all time. With some estimate placing his wealth at 2% of U.S. GDP, his portrait was on the cover of Time magazine in 1937. As a semi-autonomous monarch, he had his own mint, printing his own currency, the Hyderabadi rupee, and had a private treasury that was said to contain £100 million in gold and silver bullion, and a further £400 million of jewels. The major source of his wealth was the Golconda mines, the only supplier of diamonds in the world at that time. Among them was the Jacob Diamond, valued at some £50 million, and used by the Nizam as a paperweight.
Osmania Medical College, formerly known as Hyderabad Medical School, is a public medical college in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was founded in 1846 by the 5th Nizam of Hyderabad and Berar, Afzal ud Dowla, Asaf Jah V. The college was originally affiliated to Osmania University system, now it is affiliated to the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, and the Osmania General Hospital. After the establishment of the Osmania University in 1919, the school was renamed Osmania Medical College, after the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan.

The Shahi Masjid, also known as masjid awan e shahi, Public garden Mosque and Bagh E Aam ke Masjid, is a mosque within the Public Gardens, Hyderabad adjacent to Telangana Legislative Assembly, Hyderabad, India. In 1924 the Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan commissioned the construction of the Shahi Masjid thru "the City Improvement Board" and was constructed completed in 1933.
