Hajipur is the headquarters and largest city of Vaishali district of the state of Bihar in India. Hajipur is the 16th most populous city of Bihar, besides being the second-fastest developing city, next to Patna. It had a total population of 1.47 lakh as per census 2011. Vaishali district is ranked 8th among 38 districts in Bihar in terms of growth.
Mahatma Gandhi Setu is a bridge over the river Ganges in Bihar, India, connecting Patna in the south to Hajipur in the north. Its length is 5,750 metres (18,860 ft) and it is the third-longest river bridge in India. It was inaugurated in May 1982 in a ceremony in Hajipur by the then prime minister, Indira Gandhi. From 1982 to 2017, Mahatma Gandhi Setu remained as the longest bridge in India. Later, Gandhi Setu rehabilitation project was undertaken to install triangular steel trusses on Mahatma Gandhi Setu.
Gandhi Maidan is a historic ground in Patna, near the banks of the Ganges River, in Bihar, India. The Golghar falls to its west. During the period of 1824–1833, under British rule, it was used as a golf course and horse racing track and was called Patna Lawns. It is spread across 60 acres of land. It has a great political significance as well.

The modern city of Patna is mainly on the southern bank of the river Ganges. The city also straddles the rivers Sone, Gandak and Punpun. The city is approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) in length and 16 to 18 kilometres wide.
Shri Krishna Memorial Hall is a multipurpose arena located in the Gandhi Maidan area of Patna, Bihar. It was built in honour of the first Chief Minister of Bihar, Sri Krishna Sinha. Originally completed in 1976 with a seating capacity of 2,000, the centre has undergone numerous renovations and expansions. It is second largest auditorium in Bihar. It can also be used for conventions, trade shows, concert performances, banquets and other events.
Patna Film Festival is an international film festival in Patna, India. Participant countries include Iran, Canada, China, Japan, Sweden, Germany, Russia, the United States, and India. Patna Film Festival started in 2006. It was jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), directorate of the film festival, National Film Archive of India, Federation of Film Societies of India, and the state government.

Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is a rapid transit system under construction (as of May 2023), in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and will be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a Public Private Partnership mode, is estimated to cost ₹133,657.7 million (US$1.7 billion). This cost excludes land acquisition cost, which will be paid for by the Bihar government. The first phase (consisting of the east–west and north–south corridors) will include both a 23.30 km (14.48 mi) elevated track and a 16.30 km (10.13 mi) underground track.
Bihar State Road Transport Corporation or BSRTC is a state-owned road transportation company in Bihar with compared to other Indian states it is facing financial crisis in term of government funding, which degrade its process of expanding basic infrastructural assets both HR and number of buses in BSRTC, as par to 3 tier cities public transportation system. BSRTC was set up in 1959 under the provisions of Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950. It is wholly owned by the Government of Bihar. In year 2020 Chief Minister of Bihar inaugurated Pataliputra Bus Terminal commonly known as ISBT, Patna. It is the first ISBT of Bihar.
Viraat Ramayan Mandir is an upcoming Hindu temple complex in Kaithwalia-Bahuara village located in the East Champaran district of Bihar, India, with an estimated budget of ₹500 crore (US$63 million). When completed, it will be the largest religious monument in the world. The Virat Ramayan Mandir will be almost double the height of the world-famous 12th century Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia, which is 215 feet high. The temple will have a hall with a seating capacity of 20,000 people. The construction of the temple is scheduled to start in June 2015, but has since been delayed following the Cambodia government's protest to the government of India.
Jp Ganga Path or Patna Marine Drive is an expressway along the Ganga river in Patna, Bihar, India. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. It is being jointly constructed by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and the Government of Bihar. Jp Ganga Path was planned to ensure a smooth flow of traffic between east Patna and west Patna, and ease the traffic congestion at Ashok Rajpath.
On 27 October 2013, a series of bomb blasts rocked the Indian city of Patna, Bihar at a massive election rally for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for prime minister. Of the estimated 300,000 participants at the "Hunkar" rally, six people were killed and 85 others were injured in eight bomb blasts.
Samvidhaan: The Making of the Constitution of India is a ten-part television mini-series based on the making of the Constitution of India, directed by Shyam Benegal. The show premiered on 2 March 2014 on Rajya Sabha TV, with an episode scheduled to air every Sunday morning. The series can be viewed on YouTube on Rajya Sabha TV's channel.
The Samrat Ashok Convention Centre is a convention centre on North Gandhi Maidan Marg, Patna, Bihar with an estimated budget of ₹490 crore. The foundation stone of the centre was laid by Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar on 8 February 2014. An expected, around 16,500 metric tonnes of steel is used in construction, which is more than the volume of steel used in raising Eiffel Tower and Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The capacity of the main auditorium is around 5000. The Samrat Ashoka Convention centre has three major signature buildings- 1) Bapu Sabahagaar, an auditorium of 5000 seating capacity, 2) Gyan Bhawan with 800 capacity auditorium, multipurpose hall and other conference halls of various capacities; and 3) Sabhyata Dwar. The centre was completed by April 2017 and has Gyan Bhawan, Bapu Sabhagaar, Multipurpose Hall, Plenary Hall, Modular Meeting Rooms with Basement Parking, Sabhyta Park With Sabhyata Dwar & food plaza. In February 2018, Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra Patna won the 10th CIDC Vishwakarma Achievement Award for best construction projects in India.

Patna Book Fair or Patna Pustak Mela is an annual book fair organized in Patna, India by the Centre for Readership Development (CRD),held annually at the Gandhi Maidan, selling and exhibiting books, printed matter, stationery, printing, compact discs and other multimedia publishing. The First Patna Book Fair was held in 1985 and the last event was held in November 2022 was its 26th edition. During 1999-2002 the venue was shifted to Patliputra colony grounds. Next edition of 27th Patna Book Fair was held between 2nd-13th December 2022 at Gandhi Maidan. The event could not be held due to the Corona Pandemic and is being organised after 2019.
The Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya is a museum and public service institution, showcasing the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, and his role in Bihar during the independence struggle of India. It is one of the eleven Gandhi Sanghralayas in the country.
The 350th Prakash Parv or birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh ji was celebrated in January 2017 in Patna, India. 2017 is the year of the 350th anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, a spiritual master, warrior, poet and philosopher. At the date of this anniversary, a number of events was organized on the occasion in Patna marking a grand celebration in their history.
Patna Collectorate or Patna district Collector is administrative head office of Collector of Patna district in Patna, Bihar, India. It is on the bank of river Ganges, close to Gandhi Maidan. It is in the style of Dutch architecture and British architecture and is over 200-year-old building complex. In 2008, the Collectorate was listed as heritage building by the Government of Bihar. In 2016, the government proposed its demolition and replacement with a new office complex. The Indian Supreme Court dismissed petitions from the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, a heritage organisation, to stay the demolition in May 2022, and the complex began to be razed the following day.
