The Artha Wacana Christian University (UKAW or Universitas Kristen Artha Wacana) is a private university located in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

History

The university was founded on 4 September 1985 in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara as a continuation of Artha Wacana Academy of Theology. 'Artha' can be translated as purpose while 'Wacana' is the word (of God) and as a whole, Artha Wacana Christian University means the university where its purpose comes from the word (of God).

    PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, operating as TransNusa, is an Indonesian low-cost carrier based in Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.     Mount Mutis, also known as Nuaf Nefomasi, is a mountain and highest point of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, at 2,427 metres (7,963 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Gunung Mutis Nature Reserve in the South Central Timor Regency, 150 km (93 mi) from Kupang, around 40 km (25 mi) north of the town of Soe. The mountain is a popular climbing site.

    Woisika, also known as Kamang, is a Papuan language of Alor Island of Indonesia. The three main dialects are Western Kamang, Lowland Kamang, and Upland Kamang. Dialects also include Lembur, Sibo, Kamang, Tiayai, Watang, Kamana-Kamang. They may constitute more than one language. Kamang is an endangered language, since children usually only have passive competence of the language, and instead are shifting to Malay.
