Buslink VIVO (VIVO stands for "Vehicle In Vehicle Out") [1] [2] was a bus operator providing services in Howard Springs. It was a 50/50 joint venture between Buslink and Transdev Australasia.

History

In November 2012 Buslink Vivo was awarded a 56-month contract to operate vehicles to transport workers during the construction of the Ichthys LNG project in the Northern Territory of Australia. [3] [4] [5]

Buslink Vivo ceased operation in July 2019. [6] During its operation, Buslink Vivo delivered more than 15 million journeys. [7]

Services

Buslink Vivo operated employee services from Darwin and Palmerston to the Bladin Point construction site. [8]

Fleet

The fleet peaked at 212 buses, primarily Irizar and Volgren bodied Mercedes-Benz OH1830s. [9] With the completion of the project, by October 2018 the fleet was down to 92 and down to 25 by August 2019. [10]

Transdev (historic) Transdev company before merger with Veolia Transport

Transdev was an international public transport group based in Issy-les-Moulineaux near Paris, France and operating in several countries. Originally created as Société centrale pour l'équipement du territoire in 1955 and developing transportation activities since 1973, Transdev was a subsidiary Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, a French stated-owned financial institution. On 3 March 2011, the group merged with Veolia Transport, one of its main competitors, into Veolia Transdev. During 2013, Veolia Transdev was renamed Transdev, recognising the planned withdrawal of Veolia Environnement from ownership of the group.

Transdev WA is an Australian bus company operating services in Perth under contract to Transperth. It is a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia.

Metro Transport Sydney

Metro Transport Sydney (MTS) was the owner of the now-demolished Sydney Monorail and the former owner of the Inner West Light Rail in Sydney, New South Wales. Established in 2001, it replaced the Sydney Light Rail Company (SLRC), the previous owner of the light rail, and CGEA Transport Sydney, the previous owner of the monorail. It was bought by the New South Wales Government in 2012. The Metro Transport Sydney brand was discontinued from 1 July 2013, and the SLRC and Metro Transport Sydney were deregistered later that month.

Transdev Shorelink Buses

Transdev Shorelink was an Australian bus company operating services in the northern suburbs of Sydney. It was a division of Transdev. In 2013, Transdev Shorelink was absorbed into Transdev NSW. Rebranding into Transdev NSW did not happen until 2014.

ComfortDelGro Australia is a major Australian public transport company. Founded in October 2005 as ComfortDelGro Cabcharge, a joint venture between Singapore-based ComfortDelGro (51%) and Australian Cabcharge (49%), today it is a wholly owned subsidiary of ComfortDelGro.

Buslink

Buslink is a bus operator providing services in Alice Springs, Darwin, Jabiru and Humpty Doo. It is the largest operator in the Northern Territory. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC).

Darwinbus

Darwinbus is a public bus service which operates in Darwin and Palmerston in the Northern Territory.

TransdevTSL, formerly MetroLink, was a 50/50 joint venture between the old Transdev and Transfield Services that operated trams in Melbourne, ferries in Brisbane and buses in Sydney. The joint venture was dissolved in December 2010 when Transfield Services sold its shares to Transdev. These three operations were the old Transdev's only Australian operations. Two of them would later be taken over by Veolia Transdev, formed from the merger of old Transdev and Veolia Transport in March 2011.

MyBus

MyBus was a bus operator on the island of Jersey providing route and school bus services under contract to States of Jersey under the MyBus brand. It was a subsidiary of Veolia Transport, then later Veolia Transdev from 2011.

South West Coach Lines is a bus and coach operator in South West Western Australia. It is a subsidiary of the Australian Transit Group.

Transdev Queensland bus operator in Brisbane, Australia

Transdev Queensland Bus is an Australian operator of bus services in the Redland City region of Brisbane. It operates 31 services under contract to the Government of Queensland under the TransLink banner. It is a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia.

Transdev Sydney Ferries

Transdev Sydney Ferries, formerly Harbour City Ferries, is a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia, and is the operator of ferry services in the Sydney Ferries network since July 2012. It currently operates the ferry network under a contract until June 2028. As part of the operation contract, Transdev Sydney Ferries leases both the Balmain Maintenance Facility and the fleet from the government agency Sydney Ferries.

Transdev Australasia is an operator of bus, ferry, light rail and rail services in Australia and New Zealand. It is a subsidiary of French-based, international Transdev. It was formed in 2013 by grouping the operations of Veolia Transport Australia and former Transdev together, as a result of the global rebranding from Veolia Transdev to Transdev.

Sydney, Australia is served by a number of bus operators, with the state government's State Transit Authority the largest operator in Sydney and ComfortDelGro Australia the largest operator in New South Wales as of September 2018 when the company took-over Forest Coach Lines. Other major operators include Busways, Transdev NSW and Transit Systems Sydney. Most services are provided as part of the city's integrated public transport system, with routes, fares, service levels, fleet specifications and customer service standards determined by Transport for NSW. A small number of services operate outside of this network.

RATP Dev Transdev Asia (RDTA) is a 50/50 joint venture owned by RATP Dev and Transdev that operates public transport services in Asia. It was originally Veolia Transport RATP Asia (VTRA) and was formed in July 2009 between RATP Dev and Transdev's predecessor Veolia Transport, for an initial period of 20 years. Upon creation, it absorbed all of Veolia Transport's operation companies and contracts in Asia, which included Veolia Transport Korea and Veolia Transport China Limited (VTCL).
