Catherine "Cathy" Parson (born May 4, 1961) is a women's basketball coach and a former collegiate basketball player.
Parson is a native of Hagerstown, Maryland.
Parson played basketball at West Virginia, where she was the first female athlete to receive an athletic scholarship there. She became one of the school's best players, scoring a school record 2,128 points in four seasons. She was the school's first female athlete to have her jersey retired, and the first women to be a member of the WVU Sports Hall of Fame.
Parson was an assistant coach at Providence College from 1985 to 1988.
From 1988 to 1998, she coached at Christopher Newport University, where she compiled a 183–83 record. While at CNU, she won two Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coach of the year awards.
She served as the interim head coach of the Washington Mystics in 1998. [1]
From 2000 to 2008, she was the head coach at Howard University, where she compiled a 96–127 record. [2] [3] She led the Lady Bison to two regular season MEAC titles. The 2001 team won the MEAC tournament title. In both 2000 and 2001, she was named the MEAC coach of the year. She coached the MEAC player of the year in Andrea Gardner, who was also drafted in the WNBA.
From 2013 to 2014, Parson was the head coach of Frostburg State University's women's basketball team. [3] She next coached at Stratford University from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, she became the head women's basketball coach at Central State University. [4]

Ross also won the 1995 NCAA championship in the 110-meter hurdles, and as a 7-time All-American and 5 Time ACC champion is Clemson University's most decorated male hurdler.

He has also been head coach of the men's college basketball teams at Tuskegee University, Talladega College, Alabama State University, South Carolina State University, University of Denver and Alabama A&M University. Jobe has also served as assistant coach at the University of South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and briefly served as an assistant with the NBA's Denver Nuggets.

Joe Taylor is an American college athletics administrator and former football coach. He is the athletic director at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, a position he has held since 2013. Taylor served as the head football coach at Howard University in 1983, Virginia Union from 1984 to 1991, Hampton University from 1992 to 2007, and Florida A&M University from 2008 to 2012, compiling a career college football coaching record of 232–96–4. Taylor led the Hampton Pirates to five black college football national championships and eight conference titles. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019.

They finished the season 8–24, 7–9 in MEAC play to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. They lost in the first round of the MEAC tournament to Howard.

They finished the season 3–16, 1–11 in MEAC play to finish in fourth place in the Northern division. They failed to qualify for the MEAC tournament.

With the creation of divisions to cut down on travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they will play in the Northern Division. They finished the season 1–4, 0–0 in MEAC play before suspending their season on February 9, 2021, due to an abundance of positive cases amongst their players amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They finished the season 9–23, 4–10 in MEAC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost to Norfolk State in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament.
