Isfahan Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Isfahan, Iran.

The first phase of Line 1 runs for 11 km (6.8 mi) from Qods in the northwest to Shohada via Kaveh long-distance bus terminal. [1]

Line 1

Takhti station

Line 1 (Green/Turquoise) is a north to south line that runs for 11 km (6.8 mi) from Qods to Shohada via Kaveh long-distance bus terminal. There are 20 stations: Ashegh Abad (Qods), Baharestan, Golestan, Shahid Mofateh, Shahid Alikhani, Jaber, Kaveh, Shahid Chamran, Shahid Bahonar, Meydan Shohada, Takhti, Meydan-e- Emam Hossein (darvazeh Dolat), Meydan-e- Enghelab, Si-o-se-pol, Doctor Shariati, Meydan-e-Azadi, Daneshgah(University), Kargar, Kuy-e-Emam (khabgah) and Defa-e- Moghadas(Payeneh Soffeh). Not all stations are in service at the moment.

The line was opened for commercial services on October 15, 2015. Construction commenced in 2001 but was subject to multiple delays.

The next phase would extend the line south from Shohada to the Soffeh long-distance bus terminal; in the longer term extensions are planned at both ends.

Line 2

Line 2 (blue) is planned to be an east–west line.

Line 3

Line 3 (Gold) is planned to run in the south of the city in its first stage.

Suburban rail

Three suburban rail lines are planned to feed the metro.

Tehran Metro Line 2, which opened between Sadeghieh and Imam Khomeini in February 2000, is 20.4 kilometers (12.7 mi) long, with 19 km (12 mi) as a subway and 1.4 kilometers (0.87 mi) elevated. At this time, there were 19 stations along the line, of which Imam Khomeini Station was shared by Line 1. Line 2 is coloured blue on system maps and runs mostly east–west through the city.

Jaber Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 15 October 2015. It is located at Adelpur St., in northern Isfahan. The next station on the northwest side is Shahid Alikhani Station and on the south side Kaveh Station.

Kaveh Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 15 October 2015. It is located at Kaveh Bus Terminal, on Kaveh Boulevard in Isfahan. The station will serve as an inter-provincial passenger hub, as there is the bus terminal there, and there are plans for Tehran-Qom-Isfahan High Speed Rail to terminate at this location too. The next station on the north side is Jaber Station and on the southeast side Shahid Chamran Station.

Shahid Chamran Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1, Iran. The station opened on 2 November 2016. It is located at Kaveh Boulevard south of Chamran Bridge in Isfahan. The next station on the north side is Kaveh Station at Kaveh Bus Terminal and on the south side Shahid Bahonar Station.

Shahid Bahonar Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 15 October 2015. It is located at 25 Aban Square along Kaveh Boulevard in Isfahan. The next station on the north side is Shahid Chamran Station and on the south side Shohada Station.

Shohada Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 15 October 2015. It is located at Shohada Square at the beginning of Chaharbagh Payin Avenue in Isfahan. The next station on the north side is Shahid Bahonar Station and on the southern side is Takhti Station

Kuy-e Emam Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 18 March 2018. It is located on Hezar Jarib at the intersection with Kuy-e Bahar St., near Kuy-e Emam St., the station's namesake. The next station on the north side is Kargar Station and Defa'-e Moqaddas (Soffeh) Station on the south side. The station is located next to University of Isfahan campus.

Defa'-e Moqaddas (Soffeh) Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 18 March 2018. It is located along Dastgerdi Expressway south of Defa'-e Moqaddas interchange, the station's namesake. The station is Line 1's southern terminus right now. The next station on the north side is Kuy-e Emam Station. The station is located north of Soffeh Terminal, thus connecting to buses connecting Isfahan to towns in the province and cities farther away such as Shiraz and Bandarabbas.
