Matthew Keeslar (born October 15, 1972) is an American retired actor. He is known for his roles in Waiting for Guffman , The Last Days of Disco , Scream 3 , and the miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune and Stephen King's Rose Red .
Matthew Keeslar was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Fred Keeslar and Ann Ferguson, who divorced in 1977. [1]
He attended the acting program at the Juilliard School. While a student there, he played the title role in a touring production of Molière's Don Juan , directed by Joseph Chaiken; produced and starred in a student production of Waiting for Godot ; and participated in several interdepartmental productions. He was part of the Drama Division's Group 24, graduating in 1995.[ citation needed ]
Keeslar appeared in Waiting for Guffman , The Last Days of Disco , [2] Scream 3 , and the miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune and Stephen King's Rose Red . He starred in the 2008 ABC Family series The Middleman . He established a strong working relationship with South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California, where he performed plays and staged readings.
Keeslar retired from acting in 2010, citing financial difficulties and a lack of work, and went on to pursue a career in science. He wrote an essay about his struggles with his acting career and subsequent decision to enroll at Portland Community College. [3] He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Reed College with a biology degree in May 2014. His biology thesis explored the effects of antimalarials on the brains of frogs. [4]
Keeslar became a practicing PA-C (certified physician assistant). He is an instructor of urology at the Oregon Health & Science University's School of Medicine. [5]
Keeslar is married to Grammy-nominated singer Lori Henriques, with whom he has two children. [6]

The Portland Aerial Tram or OHSU Tram is an aerial tramway in Portland, Oregon, that connects the city's South Waterfront district and the main Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) campus, located in the Marquam Hill neighborhood. It is one of only two commuter aerial tramways in the United States, the other being New York City's Roosevelt Island Tramway. The tram travels a horizontal distance of 3,300 feet (1,000 m) and a vertical distance of 500 feet (152 m) in a ride that lasts three minutes.
Scream 3 is a 2000 American slasher film directed by Wes Craven and written by Ehren Kruger. It stars David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox Arquette, Parker Posey, Patrick Dempsey, Scott Foley, Lance Henriksen, Matt Keeslar, Jenny McCarthy, Emily Mortimer, Deon Richmond, and Patrick Warburton. It is a sequel to Scream 2 (1997) and the third installment in the Scream film series. The film's story takes place three years after the previous film's events and follows Sidney Prescott (Campbell), who has gone into self-imposed isolation following the events of the previous two films but is drawn to Hollywood after a new Ghostface begins killing the cast of the film within a film Stab 3. Scream 3 combines the violence of the slasher genre with comedy and "whodunit" mystery, while satirizing the cliché of film trilogies. Unlike the previous Scream films, there was an increased emphasis on comedic elements in this installment; the violence and horror were reduced in response to increased public scrutiny about violence in media, following the Columbine High School massacre.

Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen is a fictional character in the 1965 science fiction novel Dune by Frank Herbert. He is the younger nephew and heir of the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, and is depicted to be cruel, treacherous and cunning, though not as much so as his uncle.
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a public research university focusing primarily on health sciences with a main campus, including two hospitals, in Portland, Oregon. The institution was founded in 1887 as the University of Oregon Medical Department and later became the University of Oregon Medical School. The Stand is an American post-apocalyptic fantasy television miniseries comprising nine episodes, based on the 1978 novel of the same name by Stephen King and a remake to the 1994 adaptation. The plot centers on a pandemic resulting from a mishap at a military biological research facility, which allows the escape of a lethal strain of influenza. After the pandemic kills almost the entire world population, the few survivors are drawn to one of two figures, Randall Flagg and Mother Abigail, setting up a final good-vs-evil confrontation. In the novel's dedication to his wife, King describes it as a "dark tale of the ageless struggle between good and evil." The adaptation alters details of some main characters, moves the setting to modern-day 21st century, and features a new final episode co-written with his son, Owen, making it the third variation of the story's conclusion.The first episode was released on Paramount+ on December 17, 2020, and on Starz on 3 January 2021. The series received mixed reviews.
