Willem Doman (born 1950) is a former South African politician,having served as the Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, [1] and a Member of Parliament for the opposition Democratic Alliance. [2] [3]
Doman was also one of the party's parliamentary whips. [3]
He retired as a Member of Parliament in 2011. [4]
Doman was originally elected to the House of Assembly in 1989 as a member of the National Party (NP) representing Goodwood in Cape Town. In 1994 he was elected to the Western Cape Provincial Legislature and was chosen as Speaker. He was re-elected Speaker in 1999,but in 2001 moved to become the provincial Minister of Local Government. [3] In 2002 he left the Provincial Parliament and became a member of the National Assembly for the NP,now known as the New National Party.
In March 2003 Doman crossed the floor to the DA. [5] He has served as spokesperson on Provincial and Local Government and remained on the portfolio after the Jacob Zuma administration changed its title to Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. He stepped down from the National Assembly in 2011,and was replaced as MP by the young Geordin Hill-Lewis.
The National Assembly is the directly elected house of the Parliament of South Africa,located in Cape Town,Western Cape. It consists of four hundred members who are elected every five years using a party-list proportional representation system where half of the members are elected proportionally from nine provincial lists and the remaining half from national lists so as to restore proportionality.
Although the Democratic Alliance of South Africa in its present form is fairly new,its roots can be traced far back in South African political history,through a complex sequence of splits and mergers.

Kevin John Mileham is a South African politician,a Member of the South African Parliament for the Democratic Alliance and the Shadow Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy. Mileham was first elected to Parliament on 3 June 2013,replacing Athol Trollip. His first parliamentary role was as the Shadow Deputy Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development. After the 2014 National Elections,he was appointed the Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. In February 2019,he was appointed as Shadow Minister of Energy. After the National and Provincial Elections on 8 May 2019,Mileham was appointed as Shadow Minister of the expanded portfolio of Mineral Resources and Energy.
Theunis Louis "Theuns" Botha is a retired South African politician of the Democratic Alliance. Previously,he served as the Western Provincial Minister of Cultural Affairs and as the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Health. He also served as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2004 to 2015. He was Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Parliament from 2004 to 2009 and Leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape from 2002 to 2012. Botha was also Deputy Provincial Leader of the party from 2012 to 2015.
Joseph Job McGluwa is a South African politician who sas the leader of the Democratic Alliance in the North West province from 2015 to 2020. He has been a member of the National Assembly since 16 August 2018. He was previously in the National Assembly from 2009 to 2015. McGluwa was a member of the North West Provincial Legislature from 2015 to 2018.

Mohammed Haniff Hoosen is a South African politician who has served as a Member for the National Assembly for the Independent Democrats (ID) (2007–2014) and currently for the Democratic Alliance (DA) (2014–present). Within the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet,he serves as the DA's spokesperson on the Standing Committee on the Auditor-General. He was the Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2019 to 2020. Hoosen was also the Shadow Minister of Home Affairs from 2014 to 2019.
Karabo Lerato Khakhau is a South African politician and the Youngest Member of South Africa's National Assembly for the Democratic Alliance since November 2022. She had previously served as a DA member of the Free State Provincial Legislature. Aged 21 years at the time of her election to the provincial legislature,she became the youngest ever member of provincial legislature in South Africa. Khakhau was previously the president of the student representative council of the University of Cape Town.
Cilliers Brink is a South African politician who is the Mayor of Tshwane,in office since 28 March 2023. A member of the Democratic Alliance,he was the party's Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2020 until 2023 and a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2019 to 2023. He was the party's Shadow Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs between 2019 and 2020.
Dirk Jan Stubbe is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly for the opposition Democratic Alliance since September 2020,and previously from September 2010 to May 2019. Prior to his tenure in the National Assembly,Stubbe was a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature.

Tsepo Winston Mhlongo is a South African politician. As a member of the Democratic Alliance,he served as a councillor in the City of Johannesburg until the 2014 national election,when he was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa. After that,he was appointed Shadow Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform. Mhlongo became the Shadow Minister of Sport and Recreation in January 2017 before he was selected to be Shadow Minister of Sports,Arts and Culture in June 2019. On 1 December 2023,Mhlongo was expelled from the DA and lost his parliamentary membership. He has since joined ActionSA.
Isaac Mbulelo Sileku is a South African politician who has been a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since 2022. A member of the Democratic Alliance,he previously served as the Deputy Executive Mayor of the Theewaterskloof Local Municipality from 2016 until 2019 and as a Permanent Delegate to the National Council of Provinces from the Western Cape from 2019 to 2022.

Theo Willem Coetzee was a South African politician. He served as a member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Democratic Alliance from 2009 until his defection to the Freedom Front Plus ahead of the 2014 general election. From 2019 Coetzee was the sole representative of the Freedom Front Plus in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.
