<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud</span> 4th president of Somaliland (2010–17)

Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud "Silanyo" is a Somaliland politician who was President of Somaliland from 2010 to 2017. He is a long-time member of the government, having served as Minister of Commerce of the Somali Republic, and among other Cabinet positions. During the 1980s, he also served as the Chairman of the Somali National Movement.

Ali Khalif Galaydh was a Somali politician. He was the Prime Minister of the transitional Somalia administration from 8 October 2000 to 28 October 2001. Galaydh had extensive experience in public policy, diplomacy, public administration, and business. He taught these subjects at public universities in the United States. Additionally, Galaydh was the president of the Khaatumo state. In 2017, he signed an agreement with the Somaliland government which stipulated the amendment of Somaliland's constitution, this would’ve promoted peace and stability throughout the regions of Sool, sanaag and cayn.

Dr. Mohammad Abdullahi Omar is a Somalilander politician. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland. He was appointed to the position on July 28, 2010 by the region's incumbent President Ahmed Mahamoud Silanyo. Following a cabinet reshuffle on June 25, 2013, Omar was replaced as Foreign Minister by Mohamed Bihi Yonis. Omar subsequently served as Somaliland's Minister of Commerce until May 20, 2014, when he was dismissed from the position by presidential decree following an internal dispute over leadership succession within the ruling Peace, Unity, and Development Party (Kulmiye) party.

Ali Mohamed Yussuf, Arabic: علي محمد يوسف), more commonly known as Ali Guray is a Somaliland politician. He previously served as the Director of Somaliland's Ministry of Ports and Fishing. He was also the Chairman of the National Demobilization Commission (NDC). Ali Guray is now a member of the ruling Peace, Unity, and Development Party (Kulmiye) in Somaliland.

He is a founder member of many academic institutions and professional associations including The University of Hargeisa, the University of Burao, Somaliland Society of Agriculture, Somaliland Economics Association, Somaliland Statistics Association, and Somaliland Society of UK.

Mohamed Kahin Ahmed is a Somaliland politician and former military officer of the Somali National Movement. He is currently serving as the Minister of Interior of Somaliland since December 2017. He has been a prominent member of the Kulmiye Party since its foundation, and served as the deputy chairman of the party from July 2010 to December 2017.

Mohamed Muse Diriye is a Somali politician, who is serving as the Minister of Water Resources of Somaliland. He is also served as the Governor of Togdheer region of Somaliland.

Mohamoud Hashi Abdi, commonly known as Ina Xaashi, is a Somali politician, who served as the Minister of Civil Aviation and Air Transport of Somaliland from July 2010 to October 2015. In October 2015, after the resignation of several cabinet ministers, he was appointed as Minister of Presidency by then president Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud (Siilaanyo). He also served as the Mayor of Burao from 1991 to 2002.

Mohamed Hashi Elmi is a Somali politician who served as the Minister of Finance of Somaliland from July 2010 to March 2012. He is the former mayor of Hargeisa from 1993 to 1996.

Ahmed Abdi Mohamud Sugulle "Habsade" is a Puntland and Somaliland politician. He was a decorated Colonel in the Somali Armed Forces and the second in command of the Somali Custodial Corps equivalent to that of the Italian Arma dei Carabinieri but the Custodial Corps fall under the Ministry of the Interior and are part of the Police Force. A politician and respected elder later in life (he was instrumental in the founding of Somaliland and became the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives. In 1998, he was appointed Minister of the Interior of Puntland but was dismissed in 2007 after a conflict with Mohamud Muse Hersi, who became President of Puntland in 2006. In 2007, he brought Somaliland troops into Las Anod, leading to Somaliland's effective control of the Sool region. He served as various Somaliland Ministers of state from 2008. In 2014, Abdiweli Gaas became President of Puntland and he come back to Puntland.

'SSC or HMB-SSCUnity and Salvation Authority of the SSC regions of Somalia' or HBM-SSC was the name of the self-proclaimed autonomous government of the Dhulbahante clan living between Somaliland and Puntland, which was active from 2009 to around 2012. It claimed possession of the so-called SSC regions of Sool (S), Sanaag (S), and Cayn (C).
