Reginald F. Lewis High School of Business and Law (officially referred to as the Reginald F. Lewis High School) is a public high school located in northeast Baltimore, Maryland. It is named after prominent businessman and Baltimore native Reginald F. Lewis. The school is situated in the former Northern High School and shares the structure with the W. E. B. Du Bois High School.

Attack incidents

On April 4, 2008 an art teacher at the Reginald F. Lewis High School, was attacked by one of her students during a regular class. Footage of the incident was recorded on a phone and was uploaded to the internet. [2]

On April 2, 2015 former Principal Daric Jackson caused a student to lose consciousness in a classroom after placing the student in a chokehold. The case was investigated as possible child abuse by the Baltimore police department and referred to the State's Attorney's office. The student filed a lawsuit in April 2016 alleging assault. The school was closed in the summer of 2015 by Baltimore City Public Schools as part of its 21st Century Building project.

Seton Keough High School was an all-girls college preparatory private, Roman Catholic high school in Baltimore, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore, at 1201 Caton Avenue. It was founded in 1988 after the joining of the two schools, Archbishop Keough High School and Seton High School. Seton Keough was a community of faith, integrity, and compassion that sent forth women of honor. The school closed in June 2017.

The Keepers is a seven-episode American documentary web series that explores the unsolved murder of nun Catherine Cesnik in 1969. Cesnik taught English and drama at Baltimore's all-girls Archbishop Keough High School, and her former students believe that there was a cover-up by authorities after she suspected that a priest at the high school, A. Joseph Maskell, was guilty of sexually abusing students. The series was directed by Ryan White and released on Netflix in 2017.

Catherine Anne Cesnik was a Roman Catholic religious sister and a teacher at Archbishop Keough High School in Baltimore, Maryland. On November 7, 1969, Cesnik disappeared. Her body was discovered on January 3, 1970, near a garbage dump in the Baltimore suburb of Lansdowne. Her unsolved murder served as the basis for the Netflix documentary series The Keepers in 2017.

Anthony Joseph Maskell was an American Catholic priest who was removed from the ministry in 1994 because of sexual abuse toward students in many schools within the Baltimore Archdiocese including Archbishop Keough High School between 1969 and 1975. He served the Archdiocese of Baltimore as a counselor from 1965 to 1994. The Netflix documentary series The Keepers alleges Maskell's involvement in the murder of Catherine Cesnik in 1969, after a former Keough student and abuse victim, Jean Hargadon Wehner, claimed he showed her Cesnik's body to threaten Wehner into silence. Maskell denied all accusations until his death in 2001.

The Adass Israel School sex abuse scandal is a criminal case and extradition dispute regarding allegations of child sex abuse at a Jewish religious school in Melbourne, Australia. A former principal, Malka Leifer, faced trial on 70 sex offence charges laid by Victoria Police, with accusations from at least eight alleged victims. Leifer, a dual Israeli-Australian citizen, fled under suspicious circumstances shortly before a warrant could be issued, and remained in Israel from 2008 until January 2021, under varying levels of police and court supervision, pending the resolution of her extradition case. Leifer's trial did not address other alleged sex crimes in Israel and the West Bank because they did not occur in Australia.

Southside High School is a high school located in the city of Youngsville, Louisiana, and is a part of the Lafayette Parish School System. It located in the southern area of the parish. The school is the newest school in the parish, opening for the 2017–2018 school year, with the first graduating class being the class of 2020.
