South Labuhanbatu Regency (Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan, alternatively Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Selatan) is a regency of North Sumatra Province of Indonesia, created on 21 July 2008 (in accordance with Law No. 22 of 24 June 2008) by being carved out of the southern districts of the existing Labuhanbatu Regency. The new South Labuhanbatu Regency covers an area of 3,596 square kilometres and according to the 2010 census it had a population of 277,673, [2] which rose to 314,094 at the 2020 Census; [3] the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 330,797 (comprising 168,655 males and 162,142 females). [1] Its administrative headquarters are at the town of Kotapinang.
The regency is divided administratively into five districts (kecamatan), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census [2] and the 2020 Census, [3] together with the official estimates as at mid 2023. [1] The table also includes the location of the district centres, the number of administrative villages in each district (totaling 52 rural desa and 2 urban kelurahan), and its post code.

South Hulu Sungai Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in South Kalimantan province, Indonesia. It had an area of 1,804.94 km2, and a population of 212,485 at the 2010 Census and 228,006 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 232,212. The capital of the regency is the town of Kandangan, which is famous for its culinary ketupat Kandangan.

South Bengkulu is a regency of Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra. It originally comprised all of that part of Bengkulu Province situated to the southeast of the city of Bengkulu, but on 25 February 2003 this area was split into three parts, with the most southeastern districts split off to form a new Kaur Regency and the most northwestern districts split off to form a new Seluma Regency. Labuhanbatu Regency, alternatively written in space as Labuhan Batu Regency, is a regency of North Sumatra Province in Indonesia. Its administrative seat is Rantau Prapat. An original regency of the province, it had an area of 9,703 km2 as at early 2008, prior to the separation out of its southern and its north-western districts respectively to create the new South Labuhanbatu and North Labuhanbatu Regencies on 21 July 2008.
North Labuhanbatu Regency is a regency of North Sumatra, Indonesia, created on 21 July 2008 by being carved out of the north-western districts of the existing Labuhanbatu Regency, which until 2008 covered an area of 9,703 square kilometres and had a population of 840,382 according to the 2000 census. 60.99% of the regency is forested. The new North Labuhanbatu Regency covers 3,545.8 square kilometres and had a population of 331,660 at the 2010 Census, rising to 381,994 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 401,863 . The Kualuh River is located in this regency. The administrative centre of the regency is at the town of Aek Kanopan.
Mandailing Natal, abbreviated as Madina, is a regency in North Sumatra Province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 6,620.70 square kilometres and it had a population of 403,894 people at the 2010 census and 472,886 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 496,975. The capital lies at Panyabungan. The Regency was formerly a part of South Tapanuli Regency until it was created as a separate regency on 23 November 1998. It is the southernmost regency in North Sumatra, and the largest regency by land area in the province, with Langkat Regency second to it.
Padang Lawas is a regency in the North Sumatra province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,912.18 km2, and had a population of 226,807 at the 2010 Census and 261,011 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 275,648 - comprising 138,506 males and 137,142 females. Its administrative seat is the town of Sibuhuan. Padang Lawas Regency was created on 17 July 2007 from southeastern parts of the South Tapanuli Regency. It is the only regency in this province that borders two other provinces, West Sumatra and Riau.

Ogan Ilir Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It takes its name from the main river which stream that area, Ogan River. And the name Ilir means downstream. Indralaya is the regency seat. The regency borders Palembang City and Muara Enim Regency to the north, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency to the east, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency to the south, and Muara Enim Regency to the west.
West Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally comprised the whole western part of the province, but on 10 April 2002 the most westerly districts were split off to form the new Lamandau Regency and Sukamara Regency. The population of the residual part of West Kotawaringin Regency was 235,803 at the 2010 Census and 270,388 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 274,935. The town of Pangkalan Bun in Arut Selatan District is the capital of West Kotawaringin Regency. The regency has an area of about 10,759 km2.
South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is an inland regency in the far south of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It was created on 18 December 2003 from what had previously been the southernmost districts of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. It covers an area of 5,493.94 km2, and had a population of 318,428 at the 2010 Census and 408,981 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 426,687. The administrative centre is the town of Muaradua. It borders Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency and Muara Enim Regency to the north. It also borders Lampung Province to the south and east and Bengkulu Province to the west.
North Luwu Regency is a regency of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. It was created on 20 April 1999 by separation of the province's northern districts formerly within the Luwu Regency; however on 25 February 2003 it was reduced when the easternmost of these same districts were split off to create the East Luwu Regency. It now covers 7,502.58 km2 and had a population of 287,606 at the 2010 census and 322,919 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 327,820. The principal town lies at Masamba.
Buton Regency is a regency of Indonesia's Southeast Sulawesi Province, lying entirely on Buton Island. Until 2014 it had an area of 2,681.22 km2, and a population estimated at 276,944. However, in 2014 it was divided into three regencies, with two new regencies being cut out of it; the residual area now is 1,648.04 km2, and the districts in that area contained a population of 94,388 at the 2010 Census while the 2020 Census produced a total of 115,207; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 119,353.
North Buton Regency is a regency of Indonesia's Southeast Sulawesi Province, which was separated from Buton Regency in accordance with Indonesia's Law Number 14 of 2007. The area of the regency, which covers the north part of Buton Island, is 1,923.03 km2. Its population was 54,736 at the 2010 Census and 66,653 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 69,051. The administrative capital of the regency is at the town of Buranga.

Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It takes its name from the three main rivers which flow through that area - the Penukal River, Abab River and Lematang River - while the name Ilir means "downstream". The town of Talang Ubi is the administrative centre of this regency. The regency borders Musi Banyuasin Regency to the north, Banyuasin Regency, and Muara Enim Regency to the east and the south, and by Musi Rawas Regency, and Muara Enim Regency to the west.
